I searched on Walmart .com and there were hundreds of similar products that would not work. Your algorithm got the perfect part based on the part numbers of my stove.

It was refreshing to get a genuine factory part. Holes not slots ancillary bracket fit properly. Terminals upgraded from sheet to threaded screws and the screws were provided.

This part # WB44X173, identified on the AppliancePartsPros.Com website as the correct part for my GE Profile Spectra oven and arriving in a box proclaiming it to be a genuine GE replacement part, was almost identical in shape and size of the element compared to the original. Almost. I only had to (1) bend the element support brackets apart to remove the old element and mount them on the new element, (2) drill a 1/4 inch hole in the 3/32 inch steel flange of the new element to allow the oven's temperature probe to maintain its position, (3) trim down the brass over sized spade contacts so they would fit in the oven's electrical lugs, (4) cut off the end of the probe's flange so it could fit behind the flange of this product, (5) wrestle the ends of the element through the back oven wall cutout since the spacing of the element's ends emerging from the flange are slightly too far apart, and (6) drill holes in the back wall of the oven that align with the misaligned holes of this part to complete its mounting. It does not look exactly like the picture on Amazon's webpage and it is certainly not an exact replacement for the original part in my oven, model # JBP79W0B4WW. It turns out there is an exact replacement broiler element for my oven which would make the replacement a 15-minute job. Moral: don't rely on AppliancePartsPros.com for good info about your appliance.

My broiler element in my GE oven, which is 30 years old, burned out. The replacement part cost was very reasonable. The instalation problem is that the way they engineered the stove not the way the part was made. Part was perfect. Worked great - very happy with cost of replacement and promptness of delivery.

The element works great for now... But there is a brighter spot when it's on making it likely that it will burn out at that location long before it's designed end of life.

I had to modify the mount, buy drilling new holes of mounting, and cutting a hole for the temperature probe. Also had to modify my wiring in the oven itself to except the new screw on terminals. As an experience electronic technician, this was easy for me. After that installation was straight forward, per say. The mount, can not be removed from the old one.While my oven itself is over 10 years old, these type of modifications are common when replacing parts, even with a GE (Haier) Part Number match. Things change over time, and some time this happens.Also had to move the front and rear hanger from the old one to the new one. So you will need to bend some light metal, just take it slow to do it.

Installed the broiler element. Failed within a few months. Total waste of time and money. Do not buy this product. And Amazon does not give a damn either.
