Hanes Ultimate Woven Tartan Boxer

I've bought and tried just about every name-brand boxer that costs less than $10 each and have found that Hanes are the best. But only if they are the "Classics" (plural, not singular) version. (The non-Classics version that you get at discount stores are NOT the same.)(NOTE: Fruit of the Loom boxers might be just as good as these for some men. They are too small in the thigh and too large in the butt for me. So I didn't bother checking them out thoroughly. If you have small thighs and a very large butt, you should check those out as well.)These are very nice, well made boxers and are a steal if you can get them for less than $20 or so for a pack of five. They compare favorably with Old Navy boxers that cost between $5.00 and $8.50 each. But if you want 100% cotton (like the Old Navy ones), look for the Hanes Classics Woven boxers. If you're a skinny guy you may prefer the Old Navy boxers over these because they are tighter fitting around the butt. The nice thing about the Hanes Classics, though, is they are better at hiding your boys when lounging around the house in them.Hanes also makes a knit version of this boxer. Knit boxers are usually more comfortable, but I've found these to be every bit as comfortable once they've been washed. I chose to stick with these because of the longer inseam that hides the boys much better, and also the nice plaid designs. I do appreciate the button fly on the knit boxers though. I wish these also had a button. But they are pretty good at not gapping, and are sufficiently modest if you're wearing a tee shirt or other top with them.

PROS:-Unbelievable fit. After having gone through so many types of Jockeys and Fruit of the Loom, these are by far the most comfortable boxers out there. Enough flexibility for me to do squats in the gym, and also perfect for work pants.-Soft cotton is comfortable against the skin.-No shrinkage.-The window is perfectly designed; you won't need to worry about your package peeking through by accident!-Value: a pack of 5 for $20.CONS:-Body-builder types with large thighs but skinny waists may have some issues with fit.BOTTOM LINE: Unbeatable value for money given the comfort and fit.

Always wore briefs, but decided to give boxers a try. I always thought that wearing boxers would be like wearing a pair of shorts under your pants. I was happy to find out that it didn't make wearing pants feel like I had a diaper on. These boxer are very comfortable, and have converted me over to boxers. After reading other reviews I did go one size larger, which I think saved me from having to return them. I was also happy to see it doesn't have the itchy tag on the back. The only thing I wish I would have done different, would be to get the ones with the button up front.

I bought six pairs and washed the first two today on the permanent press cycle.One pair came out fine but the other pair lost about ten inches of the waistband threadand now the elastic hangs loose from the shorts. That sort of thing shouldn't happento a brand name piece of clothing on the first wash, and now I'm wondering how manymore of them are going to fall apart.

Great valuing for the quality

I bought these for my boyfriend for Christmas. I picked the tartan boxers because I love plaid and I really like the pictured colors. Well, the colors and patterns are completely different than what is pictured and they are not even plaid for the most part. Also, the bands around the waist don't even match the rest of the boxers. My boyfriend is not fussy and he said they are comfortable, so encouraged me to keep them, but I am annoyed that I did not receive what was represented. I know they say there may be variations, but these were TOTALLY different and just plain strange. I normally choose Tommy Hilfiger for its wonderful plaids but tried Hanes this time because of its mostly good reviews and good price. I will not purchase them again online. Perhaps I would purchase them in a store where I could see what I was getting, because they appear to be comfortable and of decent quality.
