Vitamix Container, 64oz. Low-Profile

I have had my Vitamix for a number of years but my daughter used the tamper without the lid and not surprisingly broke the tamper and cracked the jug. I decided to replace the jug and the tamper so the deal seemed like a good option. I was a bit wary of not purchasing directly from Vitamix although I was relieved to receive a very early delivery of the items and was encouraged by the fact that they arrived in a box labelled Vitamix with an authentic-looking instruction manual. On closer inspection, I noticed that there was a slight gap where the handle meets the jug at the top on one side. This would only get worse over time since I use this appliance every day sometimes multiple times. I then noticed the base of the handle did not meet at the joints either. The seal of the lid was good but the plastic already had marks on it which I thought might wipe away. I decided to get a replacement but Amazon only offers a refund. My account would be credited when they receive the product which is fine but when I print out the return address it is in the US, not the UK which is not fine at all. It is going to take ages to sort this out and I will be out of pocket if I buy one from Vitamix and this company fails to honour my refund. The old jug I had was bought from a kitchenware shop that is a Vitamix distributor and it was flawless. Either the quality has gone done substantially since my last purchase, this is not an authentic product or I have been unlucky. Note: The packaging was undamaged.
