West System 105-B Epoxy Resin

I've been using quite a lot of West System products over the last few months and had zero problems. Just really easy to work with and deliver exactly as advertised.

The product is as usual very good but I had it consolidated with other things and the packaging from Amazon was terrible. Can came damaged and some resin leaked.

So nice to have this available on Amazon and not have to find nd a West Marine outlet usually many miles away. I primarily use mixing with wood shavings to fill holes for outdoor wood features such as benches or playground equipment. Mixes with ease. Be sure to purchase the pumps with it for accurate mixes. I prefer the slow hardener.

This is an excellent product! This is my second big batch to use and I am sold. I am primarily using it in woodworking for spalted areas, loose knots, etc. I have also had very good results for bonding wood projects and protecting the end grain on outdoor furniture from rotting and general wear and tear. It takes dyes very nicely and works very good for filling cracks, voids, defects when using the slow hardener. The pumps for the cans work great, dispense the proper ratio of hardener to resin, don't clog, and keeps it usable indefinitely. I will continue to use this as long as it's available.

I use West Systems epoxy and hardeners extensively for my woodworking, especially when I make live edge tables that require filling in gaps and seams. I combine this with Black Diamond powders and I have been happy with it for a few years now. The epoxy is easy to use, especially when you buy the pump system. It is a no-brainer when it comes to measuring. The price is reasonable and the results are always great. I highly recommend this product.

When this arrived the can looked as though something very heavy had been sat on it. The little handle on the top was smashed flat, the sides were caved in. However the cardboard box it came in was not in any way damaged.This means the smashed and damaged can was put in a box already damaged and shipped. Amazon was nice enough to overnight a replacement that was not damaged. However, on another order of 207 hardener, it happened again. Cardboard box was undamaged, the can inside was severely damaged. Why is it so difficult to not put a damaged product in a box to ship it? Amazon is slipping these days.As far as the resin itself, it's West 105. It works flawlessly as it should. I would highly recommend getting the pumps to make the ratios as simple as pushing down on a pump.

Good product, but we were using it to fill deep voids in locust. Measure carefully, work quickly, and keep your fills shallow (1/4" +/-). If too deep you'll either get bubbles on the bottom or cracking. The next pour may fill the cracks, but the bubbles won't go away unless you go after them, not pleasant. We found it helpful to do an initial thin coat with a brush on the bottom of the voids which seemed prone to bubbles...but not uniformly, curious.. Be aware that ambient temperature effects the mixed resin; if it's hot out,the mix will speed up on you. You Will Have Less Time.All in all, nice clarity. Customer is pleased with the final item, so life is sweet for a moment.

I use this with the slow hardener for projects with fiberglass, wood, and more. It allows me time to work the product in moderate temps without setting up fast. working very quickly with a push button torch releases bubbles very fast. But this takes practice as you can add more bubbles if not careful and very fast. The mix sets hard but not brittle, and I have projects that are years old and still not brittle, but UV protection is needed!
