The Price of Scandal: A Bluewater Billionaires Romantic Comedy Paperback

The Price of Scandal was everything I hoped for and more. The characters were interesting, the storyline kept my attention from start to finish and the romance was exactly right for Emily and Derek. This story takes us on Emily Stanton's journey from Scandal to happy ever after.I absolutely loved that the Bluewater Billionaires are the heroines of the story. It was made even better by having a supporting cast made up mainly of successful women. Now, these successful women are not all corporate high-flyers. Their successes varied from leading a company, to security/protection, science, law, IT... mixed with successful trophy wife-ing, fraudster-ing, sabotage-ing and being a HUMUNGOUS B-I-T-C-H. This story wasn't all about women stamping their feet and demanding equal rights, this was about women just doing it. Getting in there, working their butts off and controlling their destinies. I LOVED IT...if you hadn't cottoned on yet.Derek Price was the perfect match for Emily. He's extremely arrogant and egotistical but I absolutely loved the way he did it. I'm a wee bit of a sucker for a man who has confidence and demands respect. When Emily faces a scandal, Derek offers his services to clean up the mess and put her reputation back on track. Well, he offered his services when he finally had her attention...when he was naked...in her bathtub...Emily, her best friends Cam, Luna and Daisy, are a great bunch of women that I absolutely loved meeting. They all have very different personalities but are extremely loyal to each other. I also loved Emily's driver/security, Jane. I know there isn't a book dedicated to her because she's not a Bluewater Billionaire but I'm kind of hoping for a spin-off to give me more of the stun-gun toting, Jane.It's a good thing Emily has such great friends because her family is an absolute waste of space. Her father is probably the best of the bunch but even he made my eye twitch. Such selfish people that did not deserve Emily's support and consideration. To be honest, such horrible family connections made Derek even better. He was everything that Emily's family wasn't by being supportive, loving and protective. We also get to meet Derek's family and I loved their easy acceptance of Emily.If you're looking for something a little different, don't mind a chuckle, can handle a few ups and downs, and like your hero and heroine to be equally strong and confident (in their own ways), I highly recommend giving The Prince of Scandal a try.Lucy Score, you have brightened my week with your wonderful story and I can't wait for your fellow authors to introduce their Bluewater Billionaires, to me.

Great love story! Love the fun characters and eclectic personalities. With Lucy you always laugh, love and enjoy her characters.

She’s the billionaire and I just love that. Derek is swoony and dreamy and her friends are amazing. I really have no substantial reasons for on,y four stars bc the story is strong, well paced, and layered with both enough and not so much that you can’t follow the people and plots but I felt like I was missing the chemistry on Emily’s side. Derek was full-on heat and sex appeal and I guess I just never saw enough of Emily’s turn. Still totally recommend this rom com for its swoony guy and badash STEM heroine

OMG, there is never a bad or even close to a disappointing book from Lucy Score. This is one of her best. It was both hilarious and very intense. I don’t know how she does it! (Though in this book, she hints at her collaboration with other great romance authors.)⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+++ To all readers, I highly recommend.

This book series keeps popping up in my recommends sections, this one and the fourth one. Truth be told I have been in a bit of a book slump so I figured I didn’t have anything to lose, and decided to try this out. I’m really I did. I’m fairly certain I’ve never read anything by Lucy Score before, but that gonna be changed.I think my favorite thing about the book was the pacing, the book was a length of substance. We got to know the characters, like really get to know them, get invested in them, really pull for them. And the romance wasn’t wham bam, it was slow burn, like here’s some chemistry let’s keep putting these two together and see how long it takes for them to take the plunge. I love that in a book.And can we talk about how awesome it is to have a book series about billionaires about a bunch of billionaire women?! I mean seriously. Thank you. And Emily is amazing. Sure she came from money, sure she had a leg up, but she’s like super smart, and she worked her butt of to make a company from the ground up. And it’s not like she’s just an idea woman who’s the face of a brand, she’s in the lap creating amazing things with her awesome biochemistry brain.Derek, ah Derek. I love that these people aren’t in their 20s, Emily is 36 I think and Derek is 42. They both have built their own companies, they are really established, and are really comfortable with themselves as people. But Derek, man Derek is awesome. He’s like the best cheerleader for Emily, he genuinely only wants what she wants, I love how he is always asking what it is that she wants and how he can help her get what she wants. He’s always encouraging her to be herself, telling her that herself is awesome. He really is probably my favorite hero I’ve read in a while.I’m gonna go make a list of books by Lucy and get to reading. I recommend this book easily.

I’m so in love with Emily and Derek’s story, I don’t know where to begin. Lucy Score is a new to me author but her writing style, the way she mixes lighthearted fun with just the right hint of drama and a whole lot of sweet is quickly making her into a favorite author. I loved the idea behind Bluewater and the character developments and relationships were top notch. I seriously am loving how the characters are so incredibly different but yet so charismatic and they grow into you in very endearing ways. I have no words to describe Derek, or even the BA Emily, but I can say I want friends and a community like the one Emily carved out for herself. Super well done

Everything this author writes is phenomenal!! And this book was no different - even if it took me some time to read it, had nothing to do with this book (I just wanted to read the whole series together). “The Price of Scandal” is a fantastic romantic comedy which left me with a big massive smile on my face, laughing out loud from beginning and right to the very end. Even when it was over I was a bit sad but the story and the characters have stayed with me and I can’t wait for Cameron, Luna and Daisy stories. This book satisfied on all fronts! It had everything you could possibly want in a story; an addictive storyline, drama to keep you flipping the pages, superbly crafted characters with smouldering chemistry, and plenty of toe curling action to book!! It’s words are mesmerising and it’s characters are unforgettable!! Just phenomenal!! Bring on the “The Mogul and the Muscle”!! Finally a book where the billionaire is the heroine! And what an amazing heroine! I loved the hero too... Great book like all the others from Lucy Score.

I absolutely love the banter between Derek and Emily. The resolution of the mini crisis that sparked the beginning of the book is nice. Very fulfilling to read that.I like how the characters with terrible behaviours are handled, it's not easy to have boundaries and definitely not easy to deal with, even in real life.
