Extremely impressive keyboard!
So you get the full picture, since 2015 I have been using an MK710 for all my computing needs. But the reality is, in that timeframe, keyboard tech has made leaps and bounds forward in terms of comfort, usability, and features. After months of research, I settled on the Roccat Vulcan 122. While I previously considered staying within the Logitech ecosystem, the reality is their keyboard don't have the best reputation when it comes to mechanical keys. So I decided to branch out. The Vulcan ended up meeting all of my needs both in terms of functionality and style.Ultimately, the feel of these keys was exactly what I felt was always missing with the MK710. While the MK710 was comfortable enough to type on, it wasn't satisfying to type on for extended periods. The build quality of the Roccat over other similarly priced keyboards is phenomenal. Getting an aluminum plate over simple plastic is almost unheard of in this price-range, particularly for a full-sized keyboard. The LED lighting is easy to adjust and, thanks to each key have its own LED, evenly lit across the board. It's also extremely easy to clean, which was a constant struggle with the MK710.I could go on about its comfort and overall design, but that is more subjective than anything else. For me, the low-profile nature of the keyboard is fantastic. I also consider the design to be attractive without being garish or too "gamer-y" feeling. Even without any lighting effects on, the design comes off as sleek and modern.Overall, I am extremely pleased with the keyboard. I don't know if it will match the longevity of the MK710 (which is still technically going strong), but given then build quality, I certainly hope it does.

I work on this keyboard for 55-60 hours a week….
So, I’m not a gamer. I work in an office for 55-60 hours per week for an online retailer as a tech agent. That entire time, I’m typing; online communication, chats, emails, program commands, etc. Before this, I used a Razer Cynosa Chroma. Used it for a year until I couldn’t read the keys from such heavy use. I picked this up as I wanted to switch to mechanical. I now had 4 months of long, hard time on the Vulcan and I love this keyboard. After going mechanical, you’ll never go back. So much better to type on and the brown switches are not too loud and are super clicky. The keys are low-profile and responsive, which improves my typing speed and reduces strain in your wrists (I experienced this with taller keyboards). They are also mappable, so I can assign shortcuts for all my programs! The RGB is very grown-up looking (not like Razer’s over the top lighting which belongs in a 14-year-olds bedroom) and I love the AIMO lighting. Also, Roccat Swarm is simple and really easy to use. After putting this thing through the ringer for 12 hour shifts day in and out, it performs fantastic. Plenty of people tell me they love my keyboard too as it looks awesome! After almost 1000 hours spent typing on this keyboard, all I can say is just buy it.

Great hardware, Horrible software, not worth the trouble
Update after about 8mo (4/27/21): So a recent swarm version finally works without crashing (no need for the hub). I've disabled auto updates and I'll test updates on a random computer before installing new versions from now on. It gets 5* from me. My keycaps are also lasting perfectly fine. I use it every day and wipe it clean with dilute isopropyl to clean it once in a while and nothing is peeling or rubbing off so people either scrape their keys when they type or there's a QC issue that doesn't apply to every model. Because of my great customer support experience with them, if people are on the fence about buying one, I'd still say go for it because they'll respond to getting it fixed/replaced.Update after about 6mo: So long story short, I kept the keyboard because the keys are great and I didn't care about the lighting. I also found out if I have the kb and mouse plugged into a powered usb hub and leave the hub on, it saves the profiles and prevents the crashes. The support through swarm was nonexistent but when I contacted Roccat directly they responded next day and I received a replacement for the mouse within a week. So I've updated from 1 to 3 *s. Hardware wise, this keyboard is a 5, software still needs a bit of cleanup it has gotten better, especially with the powered hub.Original:I've preferred membrane keyboards but the Roccat just looks amazing so I had to try it. I really like the keycaps as they're very flat. The lighting is bright and extremely customizable. It's relatively quiet with a tactile bump. Some people complain of the keys rubbing off but mine seem to be fine, and I wipe it off with a paper towel and dilute IPA like every other week. The only problem I have with the keyboard is with the Roccat Swarm software. I've tested the roccat kone and this keyboard on two of my computers and my friend's computer and Swarm freezes (which leads to the devices also freezing) for a good minute every half hour or so on all three. The kb works perfectly fine without swarm so I've uninstalled it, so no lighting control which is sad. I reinstall it every few weeks because they do update it often but it's still buggy, hopefully they get it figured out.Update 1: I have now tried with 4 different computers, the keyboard works fine if you don't launch swarm. No matter what I try: old versions, manual update to latest, all 20 usb ports between 2 laptops and 2 desktops. Nothing can keep swarm from crashing. Which means random crashes or disable swarm and have 0 light control whatsoever, can't even turn it off. Best part of all, the help button on swarm crashes it! Do not buy anything that requires swarm.

Simply Beautiful.
Hands down the best keyboard I have ever had. The keys feel and look great. There is no click to them but there is a tap when the key bottoms out. And the look is gorgeous. The RGB is the brightest I've ever seen. Maybe it's because of the brushed aluminum is reflecting the light but this keyboard looks bright even in the middle of a sunny day with the windows open. Usually I just set the RGB to white and call it a day but this AIMO mode is incredible. Instead of the same old wave or rainbow mode, which are still here if you want to use them, the way the colors swirl and twist around at random is exactly what I was looking for. Almost hypnotic. Each key press makes the lights react differently. The only nitpick I have is there is no usb passthrough. But again that's the only nitpick I have. I love this thing.
