The generic version almost fit, based on the published size. Almost but not quite. I kept looking until I got to the pages of all the screens designed for specific camera models. I purchased this one for my Canon 1000/XS and am extremely satisfied with it. The fit is perfect, and the use of 3M adhesive on the back makes me confident that it will not come off unless I want it to. The adhesive is only on the edges, so there should not be any damage to the lcd screen if it is removed. The protector is a bit thinner than a credit card; you don't even notice that it is there. This protector really should be purchased with any new camera; I feel much better knowing that my camera's lcd screen is protected.

Totally dislike.Though, protects the screen but will not let me see the pictures well as the surface is harder to clean than the original screen.Was a bad purchase.

This is better than the plastic clip on screen protector that I also purchased. This protector is so thin that you don't even realize that it's on the camera, but it's also cheap enough that if you scratch it, you can afford to replace it. If you scratch the LCD on your DSLR...well, it's not going to be a happy day. I wouldn't even recommend using a new DSLR one time without having this screen protector on the camera. It's very easy to apply and goes on straight with minimal effort.

Having just upgraded from a Canon digital camera, which has a protected LCD, to a Canon SLR camera, which doesn't have a protected LCD, I was worried that the SLR camera's LCD would be damaged, so I ordered this LCD optical glass screen protector. It was very easy to put on and now I don't have to worry about damaging the LCD. Highly recommend it.

I was pleased with this purchase -- I actually wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered it!The design is between a film screen protector (like on a touchscreen) and a bulky plastic cover. It's a thin protective plate that fits right into the groove of the Canon Rebel XS screen. It blends right in, and adds no bulk. Highly recommended.
