Dual-Sided Power Magnifying Mirror - 10x

This is my second purchase of this product. The first one lasted two years and was doing its job until it was dropped in the shower. The lenses are glass and don't like sudden impact with tile. I rated it low for travel because I use it for shaving in the shower. Since very few hotel showers have a shelf adequate for this type of mirror I use one that sticks to the wall for travel.

The only issue I have with this mirror is that I have to get within a few inches to use the 10x magnification side. At that range, all I can see is part of my face which is great for applying eye makeup but not for overall make up application. I think 5x magnification is the better choice for that purpose.

This mirror was more powerful than I thought it would be, which is not a reflection on the mirror (no pun intended) but I didn't realize what magnification power I needed. I'll give this one to my mom and find a less powerful magnification mirror for myself.

Over the last 15 years or so, I've had 3 of these. One died, the other two are still doing great.

The magnification size is more intense than I imagined, but very useful for fine grooming such as finding that eyelash inside your eye. Easy flip to the normal side for regular viewing. Base is sturdier than I expected and it is unobtrusive on my vanity.

This is a nice mirror and is as described. I did take away one star due to the type of magnification used.. It is easily 10X, but you have to hold it VERY close to your face to get full effect of the magnification

As I am aging, having a really good magnifying mirror has become a necessity for me, and this one is well made and sturdy. I travel almost every week and take it with me (sans the stand). It holds up through the luggage handlers and careless TSA inspections. And I can actually see my eyelashes to apply mascara. I heartily recommend this mirror to anyone of a certain age...or anyone else who wants a good honest look at their skin.

I had broke my mirror that I previously had just like this one and it's hard to find in stores. I absolutely love it and the 10 X is also hard to find. I'm glad that I have a place to find replacements for the things I break.

The mirror I received was too concave on the 10X magnified side. You couldn't get a clear image. This was probably a one-off. The seller issued a refund.

When I received the item I looked into the side of the mirror which had the magnification before even opening the packaging and the reflection looked blurry so I thought there must be some kind of film on top. After opening the packaging the reflection was still blurry and it was only when I got the mirror right up to my face only then did the reflection show up properly. So if you're someone who has the mirror a few inches away from you you're alrite, but if you're someone like me who has it atleast a feet away then don't bother with this. If I had known this beforehand I wouldn't have bought this.The 10x magnification is too much for me, the spots and hairs which appear on my face in the normal mirror are barely noticeable but when I look at the mirror with the magnification they appear massive and makes me look hideous.

Very light weight. Plastic.The magnification side is a bit over-the-top for me anyway.I wear glasses 1.5 to 2 and needed a magnifier to pluck my eyebrows - I found this quite difficult to find the focus in and it is very limited ie I have to hold it at quite an exact distance to see , cant be slightly too far away or slightly too close. (I am not sure whether that's normal or not).The normal size is just ok really.Younger kids would find it quite glamorous I would imagine (although maybe not the sophisticated brand-loving ones !)Would have proffered something a little more grown up and sophisticated myself actually .

I can only give this 4 stars due to its size. Could have done with it being a lot bigger. But saying that its brilliant! I can take it apart and put it in my suitcase for holidays and weekends away. Its not cheap and nasty. It very well made and will do the job. Could have been cheaper. That is why it lost a star rating.

I was getting older and needed a bit of help seeing the finer details when putting on make up so bought this. It's reasonably priced and it fulfilled expectations. If anything I find the magnification a bit too much. Be prepared - you might be surprised at what you can see and not all of it pleasant!
