Yea , i put it to dishwasher few times and it’s absolutely fine .

The straw is not fixed in place, it comes right out. It just sits down in the water but you can remove it anytime. I actually don’t use the straw sometimes and just sip so you can definitely clean it easily

Is this lead/heavy metal free?

The water bottle is more lighter than expected and it is lead free. But, it is made of metal but it is not that heavy.
