Great little gadget that actually works
So awhile back, I put some vinyl stickers on my bedroom window which was to help deter birds from flying into the mirror like surface in the summer. The stickers were listed as suitable for outdoor use, but I was only able to get 2 on the outside before admitting defeat and putting on the inside of the window. Unfortunately, the outdoor ones have deteriorated in the weather, all of the holographic pattern peeled away and just left an unsightly, sticky outline. I tried numerous cleaning products and a plastic blade that I had, which promised to remove the sticker with absolutely no luck, so I decided to get a proper metal blade.I also have a vinyl that on the outdoor of my property which advertises my business and it’s been subjected to heavy rain and wind over the last few years, and as a result will not peel off and just breaks and is very brittle.I didn’t really believe that this would do much at the cheap price of £1.99 but decided I didn’t have much to lose and recognised the name “Stanley“ as a good DIY brand so decided for the price I would give it a risk.Because it was an 18+ product I had to provide proof of identification at the door which was great to see that it was being supervised and as soon as it arrived, I took it out the packaging and got to work. The handle is quite thin and reminds me of a disposable razor. You can hold it, but there’s not much support/padding and I imagine too much force would cause it to snap, so I made sure to hold it down the end towards the head of the blade. The blade itself comes with a lid that covers it when it’s not in use, which is a great idea because this blade is super thin and super sharp.I made a start on the faded window stickers and was amazed to see that the blade slid straight underneath them and peeled them off with ease. I was able to brush away the brittle parts of the sticker and then go back over with the blade to remove any residue glue without any issue. Next was the task of removing the vinyl sticker on the front of the door and this took a little more time as the weather had almost changed the consistency of the sticker which meant that it snapped and was very brittle, but the blade had no trouble getting right underneath and lifting off, and then I went back over again to remove any glue marks .Be aware that the blade is very sharp and will mark other products. When trying to get my balance, I accidentally knocked it against the PVC window frame and it took a small chunk out. Thankfully that’s not noticeable and that’s completely a user error but just be mindful if you’re trying to use this on anything that could scratch such as metal/plastic as I get the feeling that this blade would leave a mark if you were trying to scratch something off, but it didn’t make any scratch marks at all on the glass. If I am being picky, then my only criticism would be that it would be nice if the handle was a little more robust as I feel that if too much force was applied or you didn’t hold it in the right place it would quite easily snap but other than that, performance wise, I can’t fault it.I was sceptical when it arrived, particularly as it was such a cheap price, but this is so handy to have in the cupboard. It says that it will accept a standard blade from the Stanley tool range so it can easily be replaced when it eventually blunts out. It’s one of those items that you won’t be using every day, but it’s definitely gonna help when it comes to removing stickers, price, tags, labels and similar, and for such a cheap price, it’s worth having one in the toolbox .

Goodbye sticky residue, glue, sealant and all manner of unknown substances!
I have had window scrapers in the past, i use scouring brushes and basically anything with a solid edge to scrape stuff off of materials i am working with or about to work with. I picked this up because its Stanley, a well known brand, the reviews are good, i like the idea of just replacing a stanley blade which i always have a lot of on hand for Stanley Knives and its a really decent price point.- The handle seems nice and durable, after a couple of months use i have had no issues with it, i actually bought two because the price was so good. Theres been no breakage or cracks, it must be dropped on a daily basis!- Blade insertion is swift and easy, as others have noted do be careful when changing them out, maybe wear anti cut gloves or certainly use a thick cloth to protect your hands, its common sense really.- When scraping i would advise to try and be even handed so as not to gouge out any grooves or make scratches at the ends, if your putting lots of pressure on in the middle and using on something like say plastic then this is possible.- Ive included a couple of pictures of a before and after, this was where masking tape had been left on steel and then soaked with water, the residue is a pain to remove but the scraper really helps, i use detergent and water as well as a fair amount of elbow grease as well! But this is typical of what i use these for.- So far i have used on plastic, steel, glass and also bits of bad sealant jobs in bathrooms and have had no issues. I bought two because they are such good value and also i really was expecting one to break quite quickly but ive been surprised, both are still working just fine after a couple of months and they are regularly 'loaned' from my tool box so they must be ok!Overall, be careful as you would with any sharp blade, use on the right jobs, be careful with how you apply pressure and this is a great little addition to any tool box or kitchen drawer!Five Stars.

Flimsier than usual
Does the job. The plastic handle is a bit of a funny shape. It can be uncomfortable if using for a long time. Sharp blade that’s easily replaceable. Feels slightly flimsier than the Stanley blade. Comes with a protector for safe storage. Still a great product. Not for professional decorators, however.

BEST DECORATING TOOL EVER
These are brilliant little scrapers, we have used them now to remove tile paint in the bathroom and wallpaper throughout the house. Of all the decorating tools I've bought over the years, these cheap and cheerful scrapers have been the best buy ever, they are so good and versatile and replacement blades are standard utility knife blades. I had bought various expensive scrapers but these are much better. We liked them so much I've bought several just incase they stop selling them.

It Works
Have bought a few of these as it works and saves a lot of work when I have painted mirror frames and windows as it easily scrapes excess paint off and saves being too fussy with painting the edges. Gives a good sharp edge to the frame. Nice and sharp and great value for money and time saved
