I love this ratchet. I use it professionally daily. I bought other, more expensive, ratchets that were marketed as "low profile" but none have been up to the standard this ratchet set for me. It sounds absolutely crazy because this ratchet is so affordable. I'm used to spending top-dollar on a single tool because it means it will be top-quality. In this case, I got a top-quality tool for an unbeatable price with unbeatable features. I bought more after the first arrived because I can't imagine myself finding a better ratchet and want extras in case mine ever dissappear from my toolbox. And at the price, I cut down the handle on one to make a micro 1/4" that, again, has no competition. The head of the ratchet is so low profile, it's nuts. It's comfortable, the ratchet has an excellent reset and feel. The switch even feels good! And, coincidentally, is in the same orientation as the rest of my tools. I cannot praise this tool enough. It's a joy to use. I love it so much I'm gonna buy another one after I submit my review. I promise you, from professional to professional, you will love this ratchet.

This ratcheting wrench is very well made with nice features. It is a great value for the money. The SAME wrench sells at Home Depot for $25.00+ dollars and is of no better quality. Please ignore folks that are saying the wrench easily breaks. They are using the wrench to heavily tighten fittings. A ratcheting wrench is used for speed and primary tightening. Once the fitting is on the bolt you take the ratchet wrench OFF of it and use a BREAKER BAR to pull heavy torque on it. An 8 - 10 inch breaker bar with a 3/8 inch drive is more than enough for most homeowners to use. Remember, don't over tighten any fitting with your ratchet wrench or you can easily break off ratchet teeth on the inside. Amazon has a bunch of well made breaker bars for sale a reasonable prices. A breaker bar is well worth its small cost. Also, SATA Tools also manufactures several big name tools for large companies. The big guys just put their names on the tools and sell them to fools who want to pay ten to twenty dollars more for the same tool.

Very happy with the performance, as DYI I use my ratchet almost daily and it is excellent for general use as it is slim and very easy to operate with almost no slack on the ratchet. You must recognize that it is not intended for heavy use such as removing extremely high torque bolts or nuts and it should not be used to bang on bolts as a hammer.

Had a cheap drive that didn't ratchet very well. Looked around the big box stores for a replacement, and while they had some nice ones, the price was rather steep. So I went online and found this. When it arrived I was very pleasantly surprised at the heft and quality of the ratchet. It seemed like it had a lot more teeth (72) on the ratchet than the cheap one, and the reversing mechanism worked smoothly. 72 teeth means each click is just 5 degrees. I should have gotten this sooner. As someone familiar with personal computers I was a little thrown by the manufacturer's name: SATA.

Needed a decent 3/8 dr ratchet , nice weight in your hand . sturdy design

I wanted to change the inside chainring on my Shimano Ultegra 6800 chainset from 34 to a 39. Got the chainset off and found that Shimano now use Torx bolts to hold the chainrings together - the chainring bolts need T30. So, I ordered a set of Torx sockets - the full set was not much more than a single Torx socket. Torx set arrived and the T30 was 1/4 inch drive. All I have are 3/8 and 1/2 inch socket ratchets. So, I ordered this 1/4 inch drive rachet - not much more than a 3/8 to 1/4 inch drive adaptor . It arrived today, it is very small - but it undid the chainring bolts with no problem. Looks good, seems well made, and did the job. I now have a full set of Torx sockets, a nice 1/4 inch drive rachet and a chainset with 50 outer and 39 inner - perfect!!

It remind me with my old snap on ratchet, looks nice and rigid.
