Helly Hansen Women's Moss Jacket

I bought this on Black Friday and it was such a great deal at less than $70. Even at $90 would be worth it. The fabric is supple and shiny, lightweight, but waterproof. The quality is worthy of Helly-Hansen. The XS size fits me well, long enough to be good in the rain, but not so long as to get in the way during walks. Also, roomy enough to put a sweater or thin puffer vest under it. Shopping for clothes on Amazon can be hit or miss, but this was definitely a good purchase.

I love this raincoat. It is truly waterproof. Very shape flattering. The mustard yellow color is even nicer in person. It's very lightweight. Perfect for summers in warm climates. I went by the size chart shown and got a perfect fit. It even comes with a little repair kit in case you get a tear in it. I wear it every chance I get.

I decided to try this rain jacket as I had been very pleased with my Helly Hansen zip front fleece. I was so pleasantly surprised to find that it is the perfectly designed rain jacket. I needed it for my morning walks as it is too difficult to carry an umbrella. The medium was a perfect fit. There is plenty of room for a heavy sweater, fleece or jacket underneath. ( I am 5'3'' and 125 lbs) The pockets are roomy and designed so that water cannot enter. The sleeves are extra long so that your hands or gloves stay dry. The hood works well with an extra overhang and easily adjusted strings to tighten the hood around your head. The coat has a sturdy zipper as well as snaps, whichever is your preference. The fabric feels soft and supple instead of stiff as I thought it might be. I love the yellow color which is so visible on dark mornings. My hope is restored to find a product where thought was put into design and function! I highly recommend this totally waterproof coat! I love it!

I was looking for some rain gear and I'd had a set from Helly Hansen in the past. The prior set held up well and was very waterproof/ wind proof. I was looking specifically for Helly Hansen rain gear this time. I bought the women's jacket this purchase, only because the price was lower than the men's jacket. I had the men's before and I knew it fit me, so I would have bought the men's small. I went a size medium in the women's here, so I'd have room to layer, as I knew that this jacket has no insulation. The medium fits me with room to layer like I wanted, but if I were wanting it to be a bit more fitted, I'd have gone with a small women's (I'm 5'6" and 124lbs, with about a 27inch waist and 35inch bust, and 36-inch hip). The medium is like I said a bit baggy, but it has drawstrings at the bottom so that I can snug it up. It sits just below my butt at the back of my thighs. The arm length is perfect for me. The external fabric is a buttery soft/ smooth, very water and wind proof. There's a zipper and snaps down the front, and it can zip up to my chin. The hood has drawstrings to tighten it. There are two external pockets on the side (toward the front). The only thing I don't like about this jacket is the pockets... the way that they open. The pockets are set so that you could slide your hands foreword into them, but there's a piece of fabric that overlays in the opposite direction making it hard for me to put things (like my keys) in the pocket. The men's jacket in this brand had the pockets in the front that also had a flap of fabric over top to prevent rain from entering, but they were easier to access and put things in. My concern is that I will tear the pocket putting my keys in and out. The pockets are the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I would still recommend this jacket/ this brand, and I'd buy this brand again and again. I also bought the pants (separately... men's smalls)

I live on the Oregon Coast where it rains often, so this coat gets a workout! I stay dry, and it is on a hook by my front door as I use it every day. The hood keeps your hair dry with no leakage. I can wear a sweatshirt, or jacket underneath comfortably. I love the deep pockets. I have worn it almost daily and it looks new ! If you require rain gear that really does the job, this is your new best friend.

Love it. It looks a cute as a rain jacket can. I worked in the rain for hours and it kept me perfectly dry.

The material stank and felt horrible. The small was to big

I really was not expecting this jacket to fit but it does, perfectly. I’m a very round and thick petite medium in tops. I wear a medium in Amazon’s puffy jackets. It all depends on the brand. I was most concerned about sleeve length but I snapped the wrists on the tightest setting and the length was perfect without a bunch of excess material above. I’m 5’2”, 130 lbs, 36C and an 8P in jeans. Hope that helps. It is made very well. The pockets are deep enough and cut enough on the slant to be usable. It looks like there are inside pockets but there aren’t so don’t go dropping stuff in there. I like that there is a lining instead of just rain material. If you’re looking for a plain, serviceable raincoat, take a chance on this one. Wanted to add that the jacket is very light, not bulky, and hangs well. It was cold and rainy this morning so I popped on my Amazon essentials puffy jacket and then put the rain jacket on over it. Perfect dog walk! On sale so I ordered a back up.

Con HH non si sbaglia mai! Indossato tutta la mattina sotto la pioggia battente senza ombrello, non è entrata neppure una goccia. Preso una taglia in più per poter mettere anche un piumino 100 gr sotto è assolutamente consigliato

I ordered this jacket in my usual size small, and it fits well. Fit is true to size. I gave my jacket a good once over, and there are no defects that I can tell. The jacket is comfortable, it has pockets on both sides and a hood. The jacket is great for wearing to walk the dog in the rain - protects me from both water and wind. The jacket is comfortable to wear and loose enough that I can wear a couple of layers underneath it for warmth. I got this jacket on a Black Friday sale, and I'm very happy with it. Good rain jacket!
