Purchased the MONODEAL Compact CD player for personal use to listen to audio/CD books a few months ago. (retired) I am not very tech savvy (senior citizen) but is very easy to operate. It is rechargeable so do not have to worry about running out of batteries if not home. But even better than that, it is guaranteed for life. I have had several before this one but they were inferior. I attach it to my body and walk around with it while doing daily housework and it does not skip! Comes with its own carry around bag. I get to enjoy my time doing what I want to do - like go to the park, watch people and listen to a good book. I have regular headphones (comes with earbuds) and sound quality is perfect.

It's not easy finding a portable CD player these days, let alone one of quality that has really good sound. The MD-102 CD Player has thus far exceeded my expectations! After my old Sony Diskman from 2000 died a few years ago, I was buying used Sony cd players that lacked the quality and durability of my old one. I decided to go searching for a new cd player from another brand and found this one by Monodeal.The price is reasonable and so I decided to purchase it. Most of all, I'm blown away by the sound quality! I also love the different sound options to choose from based on what genre of music you're listening to. The Rock sound mode I've found to have the balance, depth, and separation I like. The separation is amazing! It's pretty light weight, which doesn't matter much to me so I'm hoping this will have the durability and longevity I desire. I have a library of cds and listen to music while I work so I use my portable cd player 20+ hours a week.The cd player is rechargeable and doesn't take batteries. The life of a full charge isn't as long as having batteries. I haven't tracked it, but it's probably half as long compared to using batteries. If you only use yours occasionally, this won't bother you. Because I use mine a lot, a full charge last only a few days for me. The good thing is, I can plug my cd player into my work computer and continue listening while it charges.Overall, it's pretty easy to use and isn't much different than the cd players I've used in the past. The most confusing thing to figure out is how to save your spot on a cd when you turn it off. Instead of pressing the Stop button like I was used to with Sony players, this one you use the on/off switch on the side. I first press the pause button and then move the switch to the Off position. Other than that, there aren't any surprises.Customer service was also fantastic! I received mine in two days even though I used free shipping and you even get a nice cloth drawstring bag to carry it in. If you're looking to try a new brand, I definitely recommend Monodeal!

I bought this unit as a gift for my Dad who lives with me. He is 91 and has hearing issues (his left ear dose not hear almost at all and he is hard at hearing in his right ear). He also has been disabled after a massive stroke at age 54 and as a result has needed to exercise which is something he has hated to do all these years since he is lacking the exercise gene! Now he is getting around with a wheeled walker in the house and we are encouraging him to walk as much as we can. I thought that listening to music while he walks might entertain him so he does not get bored with walking and sits back down in 5 minutes. I searched Amazon for a portable unit and I bought this one which turned out to a great purchase! It has great voice and is easy to use. My Dad is walking at least 20 minutes now and then sits down and listens to the rest of the music CD (and sometimes gets up and walks up some more). He puts the small unit on the seat of his wheeled walker. The only problem I had with the unit is that the earbuds of the earplugs were coming out of Dad's ears easily so I gave him mine which were the kind that hang from behind the ears and don't get inserted inside the ears. I think the problem could be due to the size of his ears and ear holes! Days after he started to use my earplugs I received a very friendly email from the seller company asking me about my experience and whether or not I had any issues with it. I let them know that they only issue was the one with the earplugs and that I had given Dad mine. They kindly offered to send me a new one and they sent me a behind the ears model just like mine to replace my old ones (an item listed on Amazon). We found out that we could hang both of the behind the ears earplugs I had given Dad behind his right ear which is his good ear! I thought I mention that for people with hearing issues.I have also found a second way to use the unit. My old PC died recently and I connected an inexpensive laptop I had to my monitor and keyboard and made a new workstation for myself. I didn't need a set of microphones I had connected to the old PC anymore since the laptop has built-in microphones. I connected the set of two microphones to Dad's new portable CD player and got great voice. So now sometimes Mom and I (Mom lives with me too) listen to music CDs that way. We did not have any fancy big music CD player at home. Since the set of two microphones is very light weight (and inexpensive) , people can take one like it along with the portable CD player anywhere and enjoy listening to anything in groups.

My only suggestion to Monodeal for 2022 is to add digital volume control to the top of the device, as the rheostat volume is a dated feature. That said, the CD pkayer has very good volume output with no noise problems as yet. These often abate with keeping the control free of dust and moisture and by regular setting of volume to keep contacts clean of ion build-up through stationary contacts electrostatic build up ( better to spread the inevitable around.)The quality packaging is what to expect from the best brands ... really exceptional for an item under 150$USD and worth retaining.The email warranty application has not elicited a confirmation as yet.Minor issues with non-Chinese user guide languages.I could not locate a User Guide PDF at the Monodeal web site, but the programming is simple: only the non-memory play feature woyld need to be remember ( hold down Prog. button )Build quality appears comparable to vintage Sony CD Walkman of 10+ years ago ( mine still fine as a vanilla CD and MP3 CD player.)

This portable CD player is the perfect size to fit in my pocket. I get more use out of my cds because I am able to listen to them through my headphones. There is very little noise produced by the CD player so the music comes out clear. I've had it for a few weeks now and it hasn't showed any signs of breakage or malfunction. Definitely an amazing product that I would highly recommend ordering.

Works fine and good value for the price.

This CD player produced great sound when used with good headphones (Sony). The CD player comes with earbuds, but these were not tried, because headphones are much better.Although the current trend is listening to streaming music, CDs provide much better sound. Many of us have large collections of CDs collecting dust. This CD player provides an excellent way of listening to these CDs.
