Honeywell Replacement HEPA Filter 24000

I got a Magnet filter from FiltersUSA. It is supposed to be a HEPA filter but it doesn't seem like one. It doesn't say on the box or filter anywhere that it is a true HEPA filter. It doesn't say so on their web site either. It only seems to indicate that it is a HEPA on Amazon. The air seems to go right through it without filtering. I have changed many true HEPA filters over the last 40 years and they don't let the air go through at this speed. My allergies are not helped by this filter as they usually are with the HEPA filters. I don't know where to get any true HEPA filters for my Honeywell and the modern machines that they make are not nearly as efficient as my old one. I love my Blueair hepa purifiers and filters but they are pricey.

this filter fits. it filters. it smells bad. it has not gone away. its a rubber chemical smell. i tried cleaning the rubber parts. that has not helped. this filter smells terrible when it is running. i cant stress enough that this filter emits a terrible odor. i am not happy at all with it. i regret spending money on this filter. i would not recommend it. please do not give your money away for something that makes the room smell worse when its running.

About the smell everyone is mentioning .... It's there. It appears to be from the rubber seals on the top and bottom of the filter. Expecting it might stink up the house I let it run for a couple hours in the garage first and the smell was gone. Moved it back into the house and all is fine.

I inherited a Honeywell Hepa Air Purifier and I didn't know how old the Hepa filter was so I replaced it. It was a cinch to replace quickly and it is working great. This is perfect for the 50250 model with the wrap-around pre-filter. I have really bad allergies and this filter helps me take less medication.

I used this in the first clean air machine bought for a small living room. It really helps and I do not go to the MD for sinus infections as often. This filter lasts a very long time when used with the black outer filter. No issues with odor of the plastic like other reviews said. You cannot see much dirt on the old filter, but tap it and tons of stuff comes out and it cannot be vacuumed out even with a Rainbow vacuum! I think it will last about 10 years like the original since it looks exactly like it. Well made.

This was advertised as the Honeywell brand, not just a compatible imitation product. It came by itself in a generic box without any packaging, and it looks slightly different than the brand-name filter it is replacing. It may be the brand name, and they have just made minor changes in the materials, or it may be an imitation product--I have no way of knowing. Seems to work ok, not sure if it truly is less effective or if it is just my imagination. :S

I would expect any new filter to be sealed in a protective bag to begin with. It had a strong plastic smell that got very pronounced when the air filter unit was turned on. Currently the filter is in the garage airing out until further notice.Shame on Honeywell for not addressing this odor problem given other customer reviews highlight this issue.

I have two Honeywell HEPA cleaners and both were long overdue for new HEPA filters. I took a chance and bought two even though I was thinking I should just get one to check out the quality. BUT, I was totally surprised at how well made these filters were -- they are very heavy and appear to be very well made. I am totally satisfied plus more!

This was a very difficult item to find! So happy Amazon sells it! Exactly what we needed to replace our original filter in our Honeywell air purifier. From what I've read about similar products, this particular one does have the same complaints I have seen regarding other ones (ie: smell, fit,etc).

Found it had better fit and finish then the origianl filter that came with my air purifier. Other one lasted 3 years so hopefully can expect that from this as well!

Original order was a wrong size to my machine. However the company was great and ensured I got the right one. Would order again based on their excellent customer service.

So good to have this unit up and going again. Ah, clean air !
