QED Classic 79 Strand Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) Profile Speaker Cable for Hi-Fi and Home Cinema Installations (30 metres, White)

I ordered a 30m roll of this cable, and together with the excellent QED banana plugs, everything was really nice and secure. I ordered the black version so that it matched my speaker stands, there is a seam which runs along one side of the cable to help identify which goes to red and which goes to black at each end. The QED Banana Plugs, which I also bought, are perfect for terminating this cable securely. I was impressed by the improvement in sound compared to my old cable. Highly recommended.

Really great sounding cable! The copper is of a very good quality (a deep orange colour) and 79-strand has always been a favourite of mine. I had some thicker cable, but this actually sounds better!My setup is Aiyima T9 PRO Valve amp with Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 speakers, and this cable really makes it sing!

I ordered the 15 metre long version because I was connecting a rear surround speaker (Q Acoustics 3010) on the left side of my sofa. I needed that length as I was doing the trunking of the wire that hugged and snaked all around my living room wall and at the back of my sofa. It was more than sufficient with about a metre to spare. I personally crimped and stripped the ends and connected them to my Onkyo tx-nr686 amplifier with Sewell banana plugs. It worked beautifully.The ambient surround sound came through nicely despite the length and its wire thickness (14 AWG). I have been living so far with the past month, sampling all sorts of movies (from Transformers to A Room with a view), playing around with listening modes in my amplifer, no issue at all.This is an inexpensive option for home theatre enthusiasts looking to wire/re-wire their height or surround speakers. As for the centre and L/R speakers, I am currently using the more expensive Silver anniversary and xt25 models respectively, purchased via Amazon as well.

Fast and efficient service providing a quality product

Amazon offered a good price for this popular cable, so I bought 2 x 10m lengths for my two rear speakers (JBL Studio 130's powered by Onkyo amp). I was surprised when it arrived that it was a single 20m length (the seller hadn't divided it into two lengths). Anyway I did this easily enough, and have been extremely impressed with the results. Firstly, the sound quality is SUPERB. Although rear speakers don't get the same amount of stress as the fronts, the sound quality is great and adds a lovely ambient quality. Second, the colour is great (mine go up the wall behind the sofa and blend in nicely with the paint). Note that they're not white, more an off-white (magnolia-esque) colour, which is better in my opinion. Lastly, they are small enough to feed under the carpet without leaving a visible sign that they're there. However, you can still feel the bump through the carpet, so if you're considering these, buy enough length to feed them around the edges of the room so nobody steps on them...!

Finally replaced my speaker cables which had started cutting in and out (probably shouldn't have waited 20 years to replace them!). These sound fantastic, no more connection issues, very clear treble. Like the white colour too, goes well with my setup. Splitting and stripping the cable ends can be maybe a bit more fiddly than some other insulation, but still doubt you'd get any better for the price.
