Thank you Review: so unique! - This book stands out from other Ramadan themed books-- it's for a slightly older age group, 5+ would probably appreciate it most. I love the unique page designs. This is a good intro for a class of non Muslims about Ramadan, for example. We gifted this to my son's class library.

I enjoy her books
I enjoy her books, and so do my kids. The artwork is so unique, and the pictures illustrate the culture and practices really well. I sent this book to my son's preschool, and his teachers enjoyed them the most. She also has a Hajj one.

This really is a beautiful book in everyway. Beautiful illustrations team up with beautiful words. The story of how Ramadan and Eid are celebrated in an accessible way for all children. I used this with Nursery children but it could easily be used with older children. My class loved it and listened to it every day for the whole week. I would highly recommend this book for all children

I bought this as an Eid present for a niece. It is a really beautiful book in terms of illustrations and the story itself. It sort of reminds me a bit of the "Charlie & Lola" style in terms of the retro nod of the design. It really stands out as a high quality Islamic book for children. Unfortunately there are a lot of poor books out there in this category but this is definitely one of the best I have come across. Highly recommend this, will be buying this book again in future as presents for other children.

Beautiful poetic book for primary aged children. Wonderful pictures reflect the diversity of Muslims as well as little quips that Muslim children will enjoy (a toddler trying to pray in the background, for example)

My daughter is doing Islam at school and with all the horrible things going on at the moment, I was keen to explore day to day life and festivities of normal people who happen to have a different believe. Shirin Adl's illustrations are truly beautifull and I learned new things about Ramadan that I didn't know and I was keen to explore the charitable part of the festivities. My one personal bugbear: I struggled to see a lot of headscarves, I can understand the headscarf as a part of a religious ceremony and to be fair there was the odd token bare headed lady in the non religious pictures but I would have liked to have seen more of them to show my daughters that these ladies have a choice to cover their hair and faces or not.

A really lovely book, with wonderful illustrations. This book really captures the feelings and spirit of ramadhan and eid. I bought this to read with my 3 and 4 year olds and although they enjoyed it i found the text is more suitable for an older child. my 9 year old read the book and said he liked it alot. the younger children have sat a few times to look at and talk about the pictures rather than have it read to them. lovely book .. i think i enjoyed it the most!
