Chemistry

I used this book during my freshman year. I would read ahead and practice the example problems. Now in my senior year, I have books that are totally confusing. I use this book to get the basic idea. In physical chemistry ii we talked about chemical kinetics. I went over it in this book first. We are now doing quantum mechanics, this book introduces it as well! In inorganic (senior level) I totally forgot molecular orbitals. Use this book to get the basic idea.

I'm a geologist who has spent a lot of time developing software. Lately I've been delving back into petrology, and found I needed to brush up my chemistry. Amazon reviews steered me to this book - especially the ones dissing the book for being too hard. Yep, it's the straight stuff alright, clear and concentrated. I'm picking up everything I forgot and then some. If you want it full strength, you'll like this.

I had a great experience with the seller, so I would rate the Seller 5 stars!Unfortunately, I had to get this book for a Chemistry class for school. If you happen to be a teacher looking for books to use, DO NOT GET THIS BOOK. After cracking open the book and attempting to read the chapter, I shut it 5 minutes later and only used it for practice problems. The book was very, very dry and I simply don't believe in having to force yourself to read a book. I have had plenty of books that actually wrote like they were trying to entice someone not interested in Chemistry (or whatever subject for that matter) and actually make it interesting. Even the practice problems were annoying, as the book did not give you the answers of say the odd #'s like any other book I've ever had does. Overall, I absolutely hated this book and am sad I spent the money on it!

Chemistry, this is the most favorite subject of mine, and any book of Chemistry is very resourceful. You will just have to find a book written for your liking, and some times it takes two or three times to find the right book.

Product was received on-time and in good shape. There was a bit of writing in it but that is expected with a used textbook. Thank you!

This textbook is very good with explanations. You can actually study this book by yourself with little or no help and still understand the material.

Came in great time, the book was a little more used than I expected but all in all great results.
