will and trust book
This is a great comprehensive reference book. it is wonderful to do your research BEFORE your go to a will and trust attorney. explains very well what is needed, what to consider and to verify your attorney has not missed anything.I recommend this to everyone, i loan mine out to relatives and friends, they were very grateful for the knowledge gained.

This was very helpful
Once I entered my password they had updates for my state and it was totally worth buying and saving all the high cost of using attorneys ready to grab up the high cost of making a trust and will.

Software code didn't work but customer service provided a download link
Like many people, I got a "is not a valid redemption key" error when I tried to download the software using the information on the inside of the back cover of the book. I had a good experience with Nolo's customer service though. I emailed tech support at the address underneath the download instructions. They emailed me a download link 13 hrs after I emailed them on a weekend describing the problem. I won't give them 5 stars because of the error, but otherwise things worked out fine and the software is now installed and working.

Great for those that want to make their own will
This is a great program. The book is great and explains everything so that MOST people can understand it. I am single with one son so nothing was very complicated. The finished product looks very professional and it is of course COMPLETELY legal and satisfactory for a Last Will and Testament.

Software Download Does Not Work - No Technical Support
**11-30 Update: NOLO tech support finally responded and emailed a link to download software. Link worked fine and I now have the software installed.**If you purchase this book and software download - install it ASAP so you can get your money back if it doesn't work. I waited too long to try and install, so am not able to get my money back. Essentially I am left with an expensive book and no software. So I purchased the book and software kit in July 2022, but did not attempt to install the software until recently (earlier in November). I followed the instructions in the back of the book, but then received the message "Something went wrong with redeeming this coupon. Please try again later." I then filled out a customer support form on the NOLO website explaining the problem, but no response. I also emailed a copy of my Amazon invoice as proof of purchase to [email protected] explaining the problem and waited about 2 weeks and still no response. Today I called their tech support number and was placed on hold for a period of time and them asked to leave a message. I am still waiting for the call back. I am not a satisfied customer and will not be recommending this version of Willmaker.

Good will and accompanying documents
I've had 3 wills drafted by 2 different attorneys over the years and one Willmaker. This is by far the easiest to read and most complete. Instead of being asked 10-20 questions and expected to answer on the spot, I like the much more complete questions and options and the ability to think it over and change answers if needed. The first time I used Willmaker I checked it out from the library. Now, 2-3 years later things have changed and I think it's well worth it to buy it. This is the 'plus' WillMaker and includes the ability to make trusts.

Just OK, but problems when you want to make changes later on...
A product I purchased years back in 2010 when I first created my revocable living trust and 'pour over will' to accompany it. At the time, it was a fairly straightforward process and I printed out all the associated documents, and hustled over to the local notary public at a famous shipping store and got everything notarized. Years go by, and I made some small refinements where I altered the percentages handed down to various beneficiaries, and that was again a smooth process, albeit I had to rebuy the 'current' version of Quicken Willmaker (more on that process in a moment). I once again printed out the revised (updated) trust and will documents and once again travelled and got everything notarized. Fast forward to 2025, I wanted to alter the percentages once again, so I purchased Quicken Willmaker 2025 from Amazon, but this time, it was impossible to make alterations or modifications to the original document in a way that made me feel comfortable. The problem is this program doesn't let you go back and edit anything from a prior year, period. It asks you to type the language exactly that you want to modify from the original document and then type the new 'modified' text. I am likely not conveying this properly, but suffice it to say you are better off going to a trust attorney and paying whatever it costs to have things done properly and RETAINED in the attorney's computers, in case you want to make changes later. The reality is that things happen, and people die or fall out from grace. When you want to make revisions down the road, that will NOT be an easy or comfortable process, and will require you to rebuy the software each year when you want to make a change. In my opinion, this product could be MUCH MUCH MUCH better, but Quicken (or whomever they paid to write this software product) is more interested in collecting ongoing fees every time you want to make a change (by making you re-buy the product over and over). In addition, I was unable to call up my old documents and 'cut and paste them' into the 2025 version of the program. If you try calling in to Quicken support (it's actually another company called NOLO [from the latin nolo contendere meaning "I don't contest it"] the support person will do their best to try to refer you to a participating attorney at additional expense. It's like the famous line in that western comedy "What we have here is a FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE". I would pass on this and did. I returned it unused to Amazon. What a huge disappointment.
