When the Apocalypse actually happens and a billion people are raptured up to heaven, Lindsey (Anna Kendrick, Pitch Perfect) and her boyfriend Ben (John Francis Daley, TV's "Bones") are left behind in suburban Seattle. The young couple tries their best to lead a normal life surrounded by talking locusts, blood rain showers, and pot-smoking wraiths. But when The Beast (Craig Robinson, TV's "The Office") makes his home base in their neighborhood, Lindsey finds herself the object of his affection. With the help of her family, friends, and a lawn-mowing zombie neighbor (Tom Lennon, TV's "Reno 911"), the young couple set off to stop the Anti-Christ from taking her as his bride...and just maybe, saving the world in the process.

Horrible Spoof on a real event
I will occasionally watch these spoof movies in order to see the perspectives of others even though they are supposed to be comedies. The fact of the matter is this movie attempts to not only define but reinforce some ideology of Tim Lahaye and the rest of so-called pre-trib preachers. This is a sick movie with a lot of lame comedy. Its just sad how Craig Robinson stepped into that role. I guess he just became a nothing actor after The Office. Even so, I can't imagine the indignation that Craig, Anna, and the rest of the actors will face on that day when it actually culminates. Everything in the movie has no basis in the truth if scripture. Everything is twisted and turned inside out. What a disaster and disgrace this movie is and whats even more sad is that folks find this entertaining. What vile trash.

A pillar of the celluloid!
This is a hidden gem of movie-making, when I saw the trailer I knew I wanted to watch it.It makes no sense but it makes you wonder: In the current days would we take this events seriously, or will we be too busy trying to find the love of our lives on Tinder?I am giving it 4 stars because there is a clear inconsistency: There is a scene where the sky is blue... the movie is in Seattle, gray is the lightest color of sky we know.

Very under-rated movie.
I love this movie. Idk why it wasn't more popular. Very funny, great quotes, memes, acting, everything. This movie is the Rapture version of Zombieland, in my opinion.

You'll laugh. Oh yes you will.
8-23-17 2nd viewing...er I think. Did not remember anything but know I saw it. Sheesh. It's funny. And it keeps the funny going despite the funny being poop jokes etc. Great script and the acting was perfect for it. Rented for $3.99.....worth it despite it not being a big hit in its day.Test 1

I liked this movie
I liked this movie. But I went in knowing that Craig Robinson is a satirical & sarcastic comedian.Rapture-Palooza is a cute RomCom with an underling theme of do what is right for you and to keep going.Robinson plays another over-the-top character (The Anti-Christ, AKA The Beast) and is as obnoxious, disgusting, and lascivious as you would expect the son of Satan would be in a comedyKendrick plays the innocent girlfriend, Lindsey, of Daley's Ben and they are trying to make the best of the Apocalypse. All is well with their plans until their would-be business is is crushed under brimstone. They then go to work with Ben's dad (Corddry) and Robinson meets Kendrick and goes into over-the-top, male-sophomoric "seduction" of Kendrick.Rapture-Palooza is campy but still an entertaining RomCom.

Crude but entertaining
If you enjoy absurd humor, quality comedic acting, and a fair amount of crudeness cracks you up then this movie is totally worth your time. If you don't enjoy those things then this movie probably isn't for you.

Ultimately Trivial
A satiric take on the Apocalypse. It gets a bit gross as the plot thickens and The Beast makes his desires very plain. The main problem lies in the triviality of the ending.Something more grandious was needed.

Great movie
Funny movie, nothing wrong with the disc, also got the vudu code so that's good too.

An interesting premise but not enough content
The film has a lot of good moments - from the opening credits which shows the empty clothes of people who have been Raptured falling to the ground in slow motion, to the hysterical mother of the main character to the foul-mouthed birds. Craig Robinson's performance is also very good. The biggest problem is that the film feels more like a rushed pilot episode of a television series - a lot of the supporting actors are drawn from series such as Suburgatory, Community, Childrens Hospital etc. I also felt that Anna Kendrick wasn't that good in the lead - she looks amazing, she just acts in that deadpan kind of way that has been seen in dozens of other films.
