I was concerned by the gap between the gate and the frame at first, but after watching the instruction video that Amazon recommended, I saw that the issue fixes itself once it’s fully installed. It is very sturdy! We bought it as a way to give our cats a zone of safety from two dogs that we are house sitting and it seems to do the trick! It’s tall enough for the cats to jump over while still able to block the dogs. We recommend installing it on the top of the stairs or very bottom so that stepping down is easier. You don’t need to screw it into the wall, it has cushions, so it’s renter friendly to those of you who need that!

Fabulous! I did the stick on method and I was able to assemble and install myself. Door opens easily. Strong but slim and sleek. Dogs cannot get through but humans can easily. No more falling down gates.

This gate was easy to install. We use it at the top of the stairs to keep the Great Grandson from falling down the stairs. The kit has everything included to mount at the top of my stairs. After installation it has remained very sturdy and easy to use. The swinging gate is easy to open and close in either direction. Gate remains open at the 90 degree mark whether swinging in or out. Quality is great. Overall a great value.

Very easy installation. Gate is very convenient and secure when closed. This is a heavy duty item. Only four stars because it is easy to trip when going through which is common with these units. This item has a heavy plastic threshold that attaches on the bottom brace and it is dangerous if you have on rubber sole shoes as it will cause you to trip if you drag your foot across instead of stepping over it cleanly. Very dangerous if it as the top of a stair case. You just have to stay aware of this problem which is prevalent on any gated barrier. Very sturdy and quality made. I use it to keep my pup out of the garden level as she thinks it is her personal latrine. Great item to keep small children protected and animals out of restricted ares in you home.

Super high quality and an easy install. I've been through several baby gates, and this is by far the best one that I have used. The auto-close feature works great, and when you do not want it to close behind you, just set it all the way open.I'm using pressure mounting and the banister piece, and both work great, are sturdy, and are not damaging my walls.

Great baby gate. Fits our large opened area by our steps. Works and looks as advertised. Easy to open and close. Easy to install. No holes needed in either the wall or banister; which is a huge plus! No need to fill holes when it’s no longer needed. Protect’s baby and it just so happens to keep the dog in check too. Opens and closes both ways.
