Works great so far. Bought from AMAZON directly.
On Feb 21, 2012 I bought a new HP #45 cartridge and installed it on Feb 23, 2012. I've printed about 50 pages from it so far, and it works as perfectly as it should. I bought this cartridge from Amazon directly, so I was expecting not to have a problem with "old" cartridges that others have complained about receiving from other sellers. The inscribed expiration date code on the bottom of the cartridge is 20131223 (Dec. 23, 2013), and on the box the warranty expiration date is January 2014. So, great!I'll update this review when I run out of ink, which may be a while.=======================For What It's Worth...I recently printed out a very large document on my old HP 950C DeskJet printer that still clunks along, using #45 cartridges that were expire-dated for September/October 2009. So of these two cartridges - bought together in a pack - one actually stayed in my printer (with occasional use so the print head didn't dry out) and the other was stored away for at about 3 years. And they worked perfectly about 2.5 years after the "warranty" expiration. From that second, full cartridge I printed about 400+ 8.5" x 11" full pages of 12pt text, using "Normal" 600 x 600 dpi print quality, before the cartridge faded. I then shook the cartridge lightly to force any ink down to the print head area, and got another 6 pages out of it. :)I didn't get the 833 pages of ink capacity listed on this Amazon page, and definitely not the 930 pages that HP claims on it's own web pages, probably because my text was more dense and covered more than the 5% area that HP quotes using the ISO standards. I was irked that it seemed to fade so fast, but 400 full high quality pages of 12pt text is a lot for any ink cartridge, which is why I still keep my 950c around.

I have always liked the HP printer that I purchased 20+ years ago. Amazingly it still prints very well both color and black/white very well. I am a big fan of HP and it's products.

Old Printer Still In Use
When my older printer ran dry of ink, I was elated to discover ink cartridges were still available.
