Strong, heavy duty, well worth it.
By far worth every penny and got a second one for my car hauler also to pull from different angles and to pull cars back off the trailer. Its a little heavy, but strong and durable. Have used it dozens of times without a issue. The Grease port is definitely a huge plus to keep from rusting and keep it rolling smoothly. Works great with steel cable and also branded winch line haven't had a problem with it getting pinched or wedged between the roller.

Why I chose this snatch block!
There must be hundreds of different snatch blocks on Amazon. Most of them are just two stamped-out offset plates of steel stuck together. I'm sure they'll do the job, but this one is a work of art! Two very stout chunks of cast iron with a very businesslike design on them, reminiscent of the days when machinery was also considered worthy of an artistic touch. This may sound stupid to some people, but this is so damned pretty, you'll be proud to own it!NOTE: I noticed a couple of reviews mentioned sharp casting flaws in the rope path. This may have been an old problem that has been resolved. I'm happy to report that my cast parts are nice and smooth with no such problems.UPDATE: I just bought a second one of these, and did notice a minor casting burr in the rope path, which was easily fixed with a round punch and a hammer. It didn't even require breaking out a grinder. A rat tail file could easily have accomplished the same thing in under a minute.IMO, this is the best 10-ton compact snatch block on Amazon for ~$30 by far. So good, I just ordered a third one!

This thing is a beast !
It's hard to believe that they can sell this for so little money. This thing is twice the pulley that you'd think you'd get for the price. It's built incredibly well and sturdy. I love when I get my money's worth and this far surpasses that. Now if I can keep from losing it on a job, I'll be using this probably for the rest of my life.

Worth the cost, if willing to check and modify.
I was disappointed to find that there was so much play in the tolerances and that the cast parts were as rough as they were in some places. With some improvements though, I got it a bit more tightened up, and the surfaces more smoothed out. The pulley itself is machined aluminum, with a polished groove, so no issues there, aside from the steel hub insert in middle of the pulley not having slightly tighter tolerances on the center pin. Speaking of the center pin, that’s all there is; no actual bearing. Just a solid pin with a passage drilled through it, for greasing. The main issues are that the circlips aren’t thick enough for their pin grooves, they were installed backwards (the flat side that’s created when the circlips are stamped should’ve faced outward), and the halves of the main housing had some very rough spots in the castings. One of those spots was a bit of a sharp barb, in the area where the rope will pass though, and another few were on the inner surface, where the shoulder of the pulley is meant to make contact on the side of the housing (and it had already gouged the shoulder of the pulley).I ground down the sharp spots with a dremel, painted the one that would remain exposed, installed a thicker circlip I had lying around on one side, greased the shoulders on the the pulley, and weakened a spring washer I had, to make it so that it wouldn’t push too hard, while also still tightening up the tolerances behind the other circlip. It’s a lot more tightened up and smooth now, and doesn’t have that one barb that could’ve damaged my synthetic rope. Was it worth the money for me? For sure.Could it have possibly been *good enough* if I hadn’t modified it at all? Possibly…There’s a bit of “you get what you pay for” with this product, but I still think it’s worth buying. I just hope the manufacturer attempts to improve upon the manufacturing process a bit, in the future.

Works great, heavy duty
Used for pulling trees and stumps with a 12K winch and a APEX snatch block. Comparable quality to the APEX unit.

I bought this block because of the rope guards.
The construction seems to be excellent. I haven't used it yet but I have used many others and this one looks very good. The price is very reasonable.

Really good quality!
The order arrived very promptly and the quality is very good. I do intend on ordering another one in the near future as needed. I researched a number of Snatch Blocks and am glad I chose this one.

The merchandise was shipped very promptly. Thank you for such great service.
This snatch block is clearly very well made. Later this summer I will use the block when cutting and moving trees in our bush. It is obvious that it will be up to the job.
