...... and there was, an impressive amount too considering its modest size. The high setting really is very bright and far reaching, perfect for home use. The lower setting is pretty decent too, the third one is a strobe for emergencies like a car breakdown. Feels very sturdy, for the price no complaints at all. Don't forget to first take the plastic off the batteries btw.

This review is for the Trongle LED Rechargeable Work Lights, 30W Floodlight. The first thing I noticed when receiving the light was that the battery cover fell off (as others have reported) as it is not properly manufactured and is too loose to fit and hence I will deduct a couple of points for that. I fixed that by putting electrical tape on the inside to make it wedge in tighter and charged the light which comes with a small USB cable. There are 2 rechargeable batteries in it which will give you an idea of the amount of power that can be delivered for the claimed specifications of the unit. On the positives it is a practical small unit where you need some additional temporary working light. It fits in your hand, to give you an idea of its size. Whist it does not have any magnetic holding surface but has the single ratchet stand which works well. It claims 2000 Lumens, but I seriously doubt that. I would say its about the brightness of a 5w LED bulb, but with all the light pointing forwards so hence how they probably can claim a higher lumens figure. Having said that its bright enough for jobs around the house and I found it quite a handy unit to keep around having used it a few times now, so hence even with its flaws I shall not be returning the unit especially as I got it at a reduced price, which it is regularly advertised at.

Firstly remember to take the plastic off the rechargeable batteries, charge up and you have a super light that brightens up your living room as good as your normal light bulb, there is a stand also and 3 modes which is ultra bright, dimmed and flashing you can even use it as a power bank!

I took some time examining this "30W" light with a multimeter, and communicated with the seller on the matter. The light runs on two parallel 3.7v Lithium Ion batteries, drawing a measured 1.5 Amps of current. With a known voltage and current, you can calculate Wattage: 1.5 x 3.7 = 5.5 Watts (IxV=W). This is a bright, wide flashlight. If you’re hoping for something with the brightness that 30 Watts can deliver, forget it. The suggestion that it’s 30W is laughable, but they did give their best shot at ‘explaining’ why it’s described as such. An explanation that made so little sense that I’m including it below: ------ “The 30W specification refers to the maximum power consumption of the LED chips in the light, not the power drawn from the batteries. The LED technology used in this light is designed to be energy-efficient, which is why the actual current draw from the batteries is lower. However, I acknowledge that this may not have been clearly communicated in our listing.” ------ Some nebulous ‘maximum power consumption’ is irrelevant, the ACTUAL power consumption of the LED chips is exactly the power the device is able to supply them. Which as noted, is 5.5W. Energy efficiency doesn’t magically let the LED chips conjure up more Watts than they’re getting from the batteries.

Luce molto potente per essere una ricaricabile, molto maneggevole e dall'aspetto robusto. Per come l'ho usata finora, la carica dura parecchio. Per lavori in ambienti interni è molto valida.

Nous n'avons pas pu tester encore l'"autonomie d'utilisation" du projecteur avec une charge. L'éclairage semble bon, avec différentes puissances d'éclairage. Attention ! Il ne faut pas oublier d'enlever l'emballage plastique autour des accus pour que le projecteur puisse fonctionner sans être branché !
