Party in Your Plants: 100+ Plant-Based Recipes and Problem-Solving Strategies to Help You Eat Healthier (Without Hating Your Life): A Cookbook Review: Delicious, easy to make recipes, coupled with humor and helpful social situation suggestions. - I love this book more than Joey from Friends loves sandwiches! (Which, if you aren’t aware, is A LOT!) Highlights of this book include: -Feeling like you’re sitting down with a Matcha Latte (page 3) or a Peanut Butter Hot Cocoa (page 127) and chatting with a close friend. Her tone is light and humorous, while she explains things at a level that is both informative and enriching. -Talia keeps it real, raw, and relatable! She draws from and describes situations from her real life, and shares which recipes have and continue to work well for her. This book is uniquely organized by real life situation and Talia suggests which plants / recipes are likely to be successful for you (the reader) in the same or similar circumstances. -Her recipes are absolutely delicious and the ingredients are minimally processed and easy to find. So many books and blogs publish recipes for incredibly delicious food, but they contain a list of ingredients that are super unfamiliar, expensive, and hard to find. While some of Talia’s recipes may include an ingredient that’s new to you, it’s likely something affordable, and something you can easily grab close-by (or is on desertcart). A few of my favorite recipes from this book (that I’ve now made multiple times) include: -Peanut Butter Hot Cocoa I’ve been making my version of this for years, but Talia's suggestion of adding Cinnamon and heating it up right in your Vitamix was absolutely genius! It was warm, frothy and delicious! Wow! Tip from me: be sure to DOUBLE IT. You WILL want a second mug! -Cauliflower Buffalo Dip My dairy loving, leftover snubbing, omnivore husband reheated this for BREAKFAST the next morning! It blew us away! -TGIT (Tempeh) I loved this so much that I doubled the marinade the second time I made it and then drizzled the extra over the finished product! -Oatmeal Raisin Cookies The heartiest, chewiest, and most delicious Oatmeal Cookie I have ever eaten! I thought they were great with both Raisins and Chocolate Chips. I have made them WEEKLY since buying this book. -Better Than a Snickers Bar Bites I could swear I was eating a Snickers, yet it was better than any Snickers I have ever eaten in my life! My husband now brings home Dates all the time and encourages me to make them. -Customizable Chickpea Pizza Crust These are absolutely awesome and incredibly versatile! Tasty, easy, AND gluten free???!?! Such a win! Plus, they were husband and toddler approved! AND SO MANY MORE! This book would be great for someone just starting out cooking with plants, someone looking to navigate plant based eating in specific social situations, or for someone who is looking to add some simple, yet delicious, plant based recipes to their repertoire. This book has already added multiple new staples to my weekly recipe rotation and will be broken out for every holiday and birthday in my future! (Hey, hey Cupcakes, Blondies, Brownies and Date Caramel!) Thank you Talia for taking the time to teach us about and inviting us to the plant party! Your recipes are wonderful, your outlook on life is uplifting, relatable, and refreshing, and for you and this book, I am eternally grateful. Note: My photos are of my book, TGIT (Tempeh), Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, and the Buffalo Cauliflower Dip. Review: Buy this if you love feeling great, fun & good food! - I have had this book for 3 days and have so far made 3 recipes! I made them for a new mom as a treat yo-self that would help her still feel her best (chickpea cookie dough, chai banana bread, and granola). All were so easy, so tasty and so full of whole ingredients. I found that reading through this cookbook felt super different from any other (always one of my favorite activities but this one was even more fun) - it is full of lighthearted and helpful tips! I already know this book will become a go-to and will make it easier to eat more plants in an enjoyable way.

BEST PLANT-BASED BOOK EVER!!!
This book is the absolute BEST plant-based book/cookbook on the market. I own several plant-based books and none compare to this! Talia is knowledgeable, hilarious, and extremely thorough and her plant mastery truly shows in the amazing recipes in this book! This book is also extremely fun to read and truly inspirational! Just looking at the photos and reading this book motivated me to eat more plants! The pages are colorful, bright, and full of mouth-watering photos, and the recipes are THE BEST! The recipes are easy, non-complicated, and absolutely delicious!! I can't say it enough, these recipes are AH-MAZING!! This book gives you all the tools you need to incorporate plenty of plant-based foods into everyday life! I truly appreciate the layout of the book, which parallels everyday life. This book is, by far, the absolute best! Everybody needs this book in their life!

This book is PURE FUN and delicious! BUY IT!!
My boyfriend and I have been saying we need to eat healthier for months, but we always get in the same rut of making the same 10 things over and over again. I did some googling for healthy eating ideas and found a suggestion for Talia's podcast, which I instantly was hooked on, and realized that she was releasing a book in just a few weeks. I love her instagram and her podcast, and her book is icing on the cake. My boyfriend and I have had so much fun trying totally new recipes, cooking things we've never made before, and eating GOOD even in quarantine thanks to party in my plants! What I also really love is that I feel like as long as I have a few of the ingredients mentioned in the book, I am equipped with the supplies to seriously cook almost the entire cookbook. She doesn't ask you to go out and spend $2,000 at Whole foods to be able to cook these fun, healthy recipes. We've made pasta dishes, salad dressings, smoothie recipes, energy balls, banana ice cream, fajitas with cashew sour cream (say what??!) lentil-mushroom balls and more and it has all been amazing. I am telling all of my friends about this book and will probably have cooked every recipe in it by the time quarantine is over!! And by the way - my boyfriend and I are not plant-based/vegetarian/vegan etc, but we needed help incorporating healthier things into our meals and now, I could totally see us going more and more veggie based now that I see how easy it is! Thank you Talia!!

Pretty good recipes but horrible organization
Most recipes are really good and a few are super bland because there are literally no seasonings in it them so you might have to adjust a bit. Lastly, I took one star off because the organization of the book drives me bonkers! If I make a recipe once, then it’s hard to find again (even if I use the index in the back). It’s scattered everywhere and a pain to find a recipe again. I know the author explains why she doesn’t have a “salads, entrees, desserts, etc” section throughout the book but i wish she would have organized it in the back of the book so I don’t have to go page through page to find the same recipe again....

My new favorite plant-based cookbook!
I purchased this book for my daughter (in her later 20s), and here’s her review: "I’ve been following Talia for at least a few years and was so excited to hear about her book, and it did not disappoint! I’ve purchased cookbooks from chefs I admire before, but this is the first book I actually regularly cook from. That’s because her recipes are easy, simple, approachable, healthy, and (most importantly) delicious. She comes across in the book just like she does on her podcast and Instagram: funny, fun, authentic, and informative. I’m vegan and would highly recommend this to all my friends, vegans and non-vegans alike. I love this book!"

Plant Party Heaven
This book is everything I wanted and more. Every single recipe is absolutely incredible. The commentary, the color, the instructions, the organization -- EVERYTHING is pure magic. I especially love how it is organized by "feeling". My favorite is "When your partner wants Olive Garden but you prefer an organic garden." This book is the perfect mix of humor, healthy recipes, and meals that you will make over and over and over again. I also find that the recipes are easy to follow along - huge plus. I can't decide if I want this on my coffee table or on my recipe book shelf. It is a NEED for vegetarians and a must for anyone wanting healthy and/or delicious meals at home.

Good for Beginners
So I did not like the way this book was structured. Generally cookbooks have a section for breakfast and a section for soup, etc. She introduced each group of recipes with descriptions like “when you’re going to a potluck with people you don’t know well” or “when it’s beach day.” I just find it hard to use as a resource when I’m looking for a specific type of recipe. Recipes themselves were OK not a lot of new ideas but this book might be good for a beginner in the plant-based lifestyle.
