Product description Scream 3 - Original Soundtrack (CD 2000) desertcart.com Wes Craven's Scream trilogy ends with a soundtrack meant to accompany the apocalypse. With the band Creed serving as executive producers of this set, the emphasis is solidly on the sludgiest, most testosterone-driven rock possible. The lineup is a virtual who's who of the millennium's metal brigade (whether they 'fess up and call it that anymore or not). While "What If" is featured on Creed's 1999 album, Human Clay, the relatively subdued "Is This the End" was recorded specifically for the film. Additionally, Incubus, Sevendust, Powerman 5000, and other loud rock contenders contribute new tracks to the cause. It's an all-for-one approach. You'll either find this unrelenting assault of sullen, moody lyrics, hyperdistorted guitars and histrionic vocalists the perfect adrenaline rush to Craven's world of horror; or you'll scratch your head wondering how so many differently titled bands can arrive at the same sound. --Rob O'Connor Review: CD - CD is a great shape, works great, fast shipping Review: One killer soundtrack to Scream about - I picked up this soundtrack as soon as it was dropped because it sported bands that I was really into at the time. I had just got into Orgy and Staind and so I was impressed with the line up here and figured, what the hell, I'll give it a try...and I was so glad that I did. 1. What If - Creed Creed starts things off here with the heaviest song they had put out at the time, and while it has nothing to do with murder and more to do with politics, does that really matter? The song is in the right speed for this type of an album and so suits well. Great start. 2. Wait And Bleed - Slipknot I hadn't heard anything by these guys at the time I got this album, I mean I had heard of them but never heard their stuff and when I heard this song I was blown away...so I went out a bought their self titled debut...AWSOME...the best they've ever done... 3. Suffocate - Finger Eleven I love this band, and so when I saw that this was a new track by them I was so freaking excited. This song is great, nice guitar work, unique and intricate...good song and is also on their GoBS album...pick it up! 4. Spiders - System Of A Down I was not a fan of SoaD when their debut CD came out, which is weird becasue I know love them and their debut CD to me is their best yet...but anyways, I guess that goes to show that taste changes. Thus, when I fist bought this CD I skipped over this song, now, I listen to it like crazy. This song is great with melodically chalenged vocals and great finger picking guitar work...love it... 5. Automatic - American Pearl Not the best here, but not the worst (thanks to David) 6. Fall - Sevendust Great Sevendust track. These guys know how to turn out quality rock songs and they really know how to put on a live show, you should check them out! Pick up their 'Animosity' album, their best one to date. 7. Time Bomb - Godsmack Love this song, love this band...this song is just freaking awsome...It's off their debut album which is still their best yet...You should pick that up as well! 8. Tyler's Song - Coal Chamber I loved Coal Chambers 'Chamber Music' album becasue it showed their diversity. Tylers Song was a great track off the album, and although, again, this song has nothing to do with the movie (El Cu Cuy would have been a better song choice for a film about murder) it still has killer riffs and heavy vibe and just thrashes in your face. 9. So Real - Static-X I love Static-X but this song gets on my nerves. It's just way to repetitive...It was the first song I had ever heard by them and so it was a while before i ever listened to them again, but after hearing their song 'Bled for Days' I was hooked. Get their debut 'Wisconsin Death Trip'...it's their best so far! 10. Crowded Elevator - Incubus I'm an Incubus fan, loved their album 'SCIENCE'...this song sounds like it was recorded back then when they had a little more of a bite to them, now they are a little too comercial, but this song, and that album, has a lot more crunch to it. Great track! 11. Debonaire - Dope I'm not a Dope fana nd wasn't when this album came out but 'Debonaire' is just one hell of an awsome song. It's too cool to skip over. Listen to it and you'll agree! 12. Sunburn - Fuel Love this band, but they are not heavy metal. Well, neither are alot of the bands here, but these guys aren't even heavy, and this song is weak...they had much better selections of their 'Sunburn' CD like 'Jesus or a Gun'...Pick up their 'Something like Human' album...Even though they went alot more mainstream it really works for them and they turned out a great, high quality album! 13. Get On, Get Off - Powerman 5000 Decent track, nothign special...And I was waiting for somthing killer from these guys having just come off the hight that was 'Tonight the stars revolt'...pick up that album for it will blow you away! 14. Wanna' Be Martyr - Full Devil Jacket AWSOME! It's really too bad that these guys have went their seperate ways because their debut album was so killer...every track was awsome and this song is one of the best...Perfect cut for this album...fits well with the serial killer topic! 15. Dissention - Orgy One of my favorite Orgy songs off their BEST CD ever, CANDYA$$!!! Pick up this album ASAP...This song has been cleaned up for this album with the lyrics "Don't waste my F@#$ing time" changed to "Don't waste my Precious time" but it's all good. Killer riffs, makes me wonder why these guys lost their edge and sold out...Oh well...we will always have CANDYA$$ 16. Crawl - Staind The greatest band ever. Love this song. Pick up all their $hit, every one of their CD's...LOVE THESE GUYS! 17. Click Click - Ear2000 David david david...stick to acting (that of which your ok) but your band sucks so please stop putting out music! 18. Is This The End - Creed The best Creed song ever...Love it...slower than most the songs here but it packs a punch...These guys were never my favorite, and they got a lot of slack by the rock industry lovers but this song redeemed them to me. It's just that good. So all in all, while it has its slumps, this soundtrack turns out some amazing rock tracks and introduced me to some great bands. I hope it will do the same for you!

Unless you were into college radio, you probably missed this one altogether.... in that case, your loss.
Scott Stapp's Wind-Up label got full rights to show off its talent on this album and easily created the best movie soundtrack since The Crow (the original one with Brandon Lee). What you have are rarities by veteran alt-rockers Sevendust, Incubus, and Staind, combined with energetic introductions to newcomers Full Devil Jacket, Dope and Orgy. While two Creed songs seem a little much, "Is This the End" is Creed at its most melodic, with Tremonti showing off his crisp note-picking style. "Click Click" by Ear2000 is a goof-off piece but somehow catchy once you get past David Arquette's attempt to scream like a rap-metaller (and leaves you wondering about shampoo... I mean, shaaaaaammmmmpooooooooo). I was fortunate enough to be a college DJ on KTRM (in the booming metropolis of Kirksville, Mo) when this hit our playlists, and man it was fun to send out there.

never saw the movie, but nice music
Although I have never seen Scream 3,I want to and I think the music is cool. Some of the bands I've never really heard of before, like Powerman 5000 or Slipknot or others. I'm giving it 4 stars because all of them aren't the best songs in the world, but still alright. My personal favorite is "Is This The End", which is the longest song on here. I've also noticed many horror movie soundtracks have a few of the same bands on here like Bride Of Chucky and Dracula 2000, but they are different songs {naturally}.

My biggest complaints: editting and ear 2000
Well, I was attracted by a magazine ad that made a list a page long of good bands in the album. Upon knowing tewo of the songs and liking them(What If and Sunburn) I took the plunge off of faith. It worked. Below are quick opinions of every song. What If: A good start, but now I fast forward through the guitar solo. A great sign of things to come 4/5 Wait And Bleed: Well, I am not the fanatic over Slipknot that most people I know are, but it's a good song 3/5 Suffocate: This album opened my eyes to Finger Eleven. My only complaint is that this isn't on F11's Tip Cd. Spiders: Sugar turned me away from System of a Down, but this song brought me back. A great slow song. 5/5 Automatic: One of two songs in which the unknwon band attempt fails 2/5 Fall: Sevendust. the name says it all. 5/5 Time Bomb: Great song, but editting claims another victim. One of few mistakes by executive Producers Creed. 1/5(editting=1) Tyler's Song: Opened my eyes to Coal Chamber, and made me impressed. Would probably win the war as best song on the album. 5/5 So Real: A song that sounds more like Chemical Brothers than Static-X, but still excellent, though it takes a while to develop. 4/5 Crowded Elevator: Incubus: 'nuff said 5/5 Debonaire: eh, alright. Dope isn't really a personal favorite though 2/5 Sunburn: a song I was surprised to see on this album, but it is a very good song. 4/5 Get On, Get off: Eh, didn't like it. 1/5 Wanna Be Martyr: Another artist I was brought to know by this good song. full Devil JAcket is good 4/5 Dissention: editting again, but not bad enough for you to notice 3/5 Crawl: Staind is good, but this is only okay. 2/5 Click Click: HELL NO! 0/5 IS This The End: A good song that might just bring me to tears if I hear it after a break-up 4/5 A damn good CD worthy of 5 stars.

Great Album
I first bought this CD for the Creed song that is not available on any of their albums and was pleasantly surprised by all the great bands on it. It's a good album for all rock alternative fans out there.
