Through a boat USA magazine we saw the ad for this Sirius signal C-1003. It had great reviews so we decided to buy one. It works great. The light is very bright and the unit is very sturdy. We’re pleased with this purchase. A bonus it is US Coast Guard approved for carriage.

Good value and easy to use. A must have safety device that functions well. Gives an SOS flashing signal and can be seen from a great distance.

No more buying flares every couple of years.The light is very bright.Be sure to carry extra batteries just in case of battery failure.

This is a great item! We were stopped by the Coast Guard for an inspection and they stated they wished more people would get these on board. Never have to worry about expired flares again.Functions well, very bright and of course also had to test the whistle!

As advertised, the light is easy to use. It was not entirely clear from the description, but it also came with the distress flag that is necessary for emergency situations. Although seemingly a bit pricey, this is a high-quality product.

Sirius Signal C-1003 SOS LED Distress Signal is well made and performs perfectly and easy to install batteries by unscrewing top which is also the on off function by adjusting tightness of top. The light looks very bright and perfect for my needs on my sailboat as coast guard approved and now I don't need to keep flares on board. I also like that it floats. Highly recommended

Bought this as an alternative for flares. I usually only fish on rivers but figured it'd be nice to have something heavy duty. The design is fairly simple which makes it pretty nice and easy to use. Just twist the top and your good to go, and the flotation ring around the light makes it perfect in case you drop it or knock it into the water on accident. The only cons I have is there isnt much directions on how to use the flag ie: orientation to which it should be displayed, as well as it not having a storage option. The mounting bracket looks nice and is great to have it out and ready to use if needed but it'd be cool to have a water tight box for it be stored in as well as the flag and whistle. Overall I would definitely reccomend this. And have extra c-cell battery's on hand as a just in case
