The most durable crayons I've used, but keep the label on!
Crayola crayons seem to be more durable and of higher quality than other brands. I was happy to find that the Pearl crayons were no exception to my experience of the brand. They color smoothly and without leaving a lot of residue. Unfortunately, one crayon in the box arrived without a label on, and it was also the first one to break. I think the crayons are stable, so long as you keep the label attached. The pearl sheen isn't visible under "normal" lighting, so don't expect a drastically different experience coloring with these. However, I will say the final texture on the page is very smooth compared to what I've gotten with most other crayons. What's more, I really like the colors in the box. I think the selection makes them worth paying more for. I'm happy with this purchase all-in-all.

Came As Described
I bought these to use for adult coloring. Maybe that was dumb because I haven't used them yet. Even so, they came all in one piece and look very good. I remember having beloved Crayola Pearl crayons as a child, so I thought it would be fun to revisit them. Maybe they just feel too special to use. I remember liking the pearlescent look of using pearl crayons. Of course crayons are not very good for more precise and detailed adult coloring books. They are probably honestly better for children's coloring books.Thank you!

What fun!!
My grandson has lots of crayons to color with but these are his favorite. The colors are so soft and he uses them for water, bunnies and anything a soft color is needed. We always have fun coloring together and now we can apply these beautiful soft colors to parts of our projects! Great purchase!

Good color payoff
I’m on a search to find crayons I can use with my toddler that don’t drive me crazy with brittleness and lack of vibrancy, while still being cost effective enough to justify putting it in the hands of said toddler. I honestly do not see what is pearly about these, but their performance makes up for it.They’re very soft and go down smoothly, and the colors do pop. I haven’t tried them on black paper, but I’d imagine they do show up.If you’re a weirdo like me and trying to find good, practical crayons to enjoy during coloring time with your kid, here’s some of the others I’ve tried. I also have some of the glitter crayons, which I remember hating as a kid because they would get scratchy while barely putting down any glitter (and unfortunately only remembered this when I tried using them again), and a big set of twistables which, while being very toddler friendly due to the lack of breakage and the inability to chew on them, have such poor color pay off it drives me nuts. The glitter ones work better than the twistables. These pearl ones are much better than both. I had a set of colors in motion twist ups as a kid and I might look those up again because those were good crayons.
