Glover'sMedicated Ointment for Dandruff, 1 Ounce

I have been suffering from extremely dry scalp for as long as I can remember. I would have to get my hair washed and retwisted every week or two because my hair would flake up so bad and it would develop a unique odor. Over the years I have tried a plethora of products and techniques to rid my scalp of dandruff with very little success. After using Glover's products for less than a month, the dandruff is virtually gone. My hair doesn't smell even after 3 weeks and the dandruff has greatly reduced to the point that it isn't noticeable. Also my scalp doesn't itch anymore. Typically after a week my scalp would be very itchy. Not anymore; if you have issues with severe dandruff, itchiness, or odor; I wouldn't hesitate to pick up a few of Glover's products to make your life a little more enjoyable.

-Background info-I am a black male with +15” of thick, curly- almost unruly hair but I’ve l had a bad & flaky scalp condition for almost 2 years (it was a sudden onset). Flakes would appear on my scalp about 3 days after washing. These flakes would get thicker and harder eventually bonding together to my scalp. Removing during wash was painful and took about 2 hours. I’ve tried multiple prescribed ointments by numerous dermatologist like Triamcinlone and Dermacombin. Nothing worked!-The product-Relieves itching and dramatically reduces flakes to nothing! It has a slight weird scent but nothing that a bit of hair oil cannot mask. In my case it worked quickly. Doesn’t seem to create burning/ tingling/ heating sensation. It does not dry your hair either.-The resultI tried this product and within 1 day of application, hard flakes began to shed away. I continued to apply this product once every couple of days or so. After about 3 to 4 washes (over a 2 month period) the flakes seem to completely stop. I’ve used this off an on for about 18 months now (thin application after a two week wash) and it hasn’t damaged my hair. My hair is back to its original thickness but that may be due to other hair treatment products that I use. I highly recommend this product!!

Glover's Medicated Ointment always works! and last a long time.

This is great when used with the shampoo. When used by it self, may take a few uses to clear up the scalp depends on how bad it is. Should only apply a little to the scalpIt's. It's not very oily or greasy.

My mother used this on my hair and scalp when I was a child and now that I have children of my own I use it for them as well. Instant results.

This is an item that I could purchase from the local beauty store but they are usually out of it. It was easy and convenient to just order it from Amazon and the price was comparable.

... with all that grease. i kid i kid!!! but not really. no question, I need to keep using it for a little while before i will be able to truly give an honest thorough review... but assuming for a moment that the product works as described, and it alleviates the itch, and flakiness, there is one thing that can NOT be overlooked...contrary to what some of the other people claim - it's greasy. in my personal opinion, you need to have your head examined if you disagree, just make sure you put some of this stuff in first, because it's impossible NOT to notice. now, some of you may have superman genes that somehow cause the grease in your hair to magically evaporate, while the rest of us are stuck looking like we went back in time, and walked right onto the set of The Outsiders, or Grease or something... if that's the look you're going for, you'll love it. for the rest of us however, not so much...

Helps relieve itchy scalp, but it doesn't smell good. So I mix it with africa' best hair grease which smells kinda fruity.
