Great time and energy saver!
I bought this do my shower renovation project, installing a dry pack mortar bed for my slope going under a kerdi shower membrane. The part of this project I was dreading the most was the dry pack. Our shower is large so I needed to mix 10x 55lb bags. I was afraid by the time I hand mixed I would be too worn out to install it. Buckets for hand mixing is not practical. 10 bags is way too much for a wheel barrow and I don’t have a one of those big mixing tubs. This auger mixed the dry pack really fast and easily, allowing me to mix in the driveway and carry it in in buckets. I used a cheap Harbor Freight 1/2 hammer drill/drill combo. I was really worried I would smoke the drill so I bought a mixing drill as a back up.One tip I would recommend is to mix 1/2 bags in two separate buckets, then combine. A whole 55lb bag makes the drill work really hard and get hot, plus you wind up slinging mortar all over outside the bucket.I was able to make it all the way through 10 bags, mixing batches of between 2 and 4 bags at a time (partially to take them up and start packing the bed, partially to let the drill cool down). Surprisingly, I did not burn up my drill! At $75 this would be a must have, no brained tool for this job, even if you’re only gonna use it once. I bought off amazon cause I wanted it fast and wound up paying $120. Still worth it, but with better planning I could have gotten it $50 cheaper if I had planned time for shipping.Overall a great product!

GAME CHANGER
This is a game changer for mixing dry pack/deck mud/ or just regular concrete. I saw Tilecoach on youtube using it one time and thought id try it. its wonderful. i can mix a whole bag of mapie 4to1 without bogging down. I used to use an egg beater style mixer and only fill about 3-4 inches of 4to1 and mix in a 5 gal. bucket so it wouldn't bog down. This makes the job just too easy. very pleased!

Very Good Overall
This works as advertised. If you try mixing more than a 5 gallon bucket at a time, the mixer flexes quite a bit and wobbles. At first I thought my mixer was broken! As long as you don't mix too much at a time you'll be fine. Also, the foam handle seems a little cheap, like it won't last long. We shall see over time. These days I'm doing less and less mud shower pans so this is a tool that will be used sparingly, but it's great to have on hand. I'll never go back to mixing by hand again! Also, a bit expensive, but I assume this is not something that flies off the shelves so you have to pay a premium.

Stout, well-built screw-type mixer for small batch concrete and mortar and other dense material.
$100 is a bit "stiff" for this product, however, it is a very well built, robust item that, with reasonable care would last a contractor a long time, probably left on a job site or stolen before it would be broken or wore out. The auger is not continuously welded to the shaft, but seems to be enough where it "should" not sperate.

Very pleased
I purchased this because a YouTuber claimed it was a game changer for bucket mixing concrete. It's pricey, but he claimed it was worth it. I had been using a mixing bit I used for drywall mud. It worked, but was very slow, so I thought I'd give this a try. It certainly was worth it. I was truly impressed. It made all the difference and sped up the process considerably. Previously I had been putting in a little bit of the 60 lb bag of concrete mix at a time, mixing it, then adding some more, and so on. With this, I could just put the entire contents of the bag into the water in the bucket and start mixing. The bit pulls down into the mix drawing the content up. I walked around the bucket moving the bit around the perimeter, sometimes pulling it out and then pushing back in a different location. You'll figure out what works best for you. I agree with the YouTuber I watched (who was not sponsored), this was a game changer. I wasn't even looking for something like this, but am so thankful I happened upon it while watching YouTube. I highly recommend it.
