Works great! Until it falls off for the 10th time today
I like my tape caddy a lot, but the only thing I don’t care for is when I’m masking up a car and it it bumps into something and falls off the holster I’m wearing on my hip. The .75” tape doesn’t do it as much, but I pretty much only carry the 1.5” tape on my hip and stick the .75” tape caddy on the car. I feel like if the magnets had a little more pull it wouldn’t be an issue.

One of things you didnt know you needed
I saw the tape thing being used on a youtube video by paint society. I figured id give it a try. It works great! I used it for masking up a car. The magnets are handy for keeping the roll easily accessible just dont forget you stuck it on the car! I havent tried different width tape on the 1 1/2 so i dont know if it would be an issue but for a 1 1/2" width tape the 1 1/2" holder worked perfectly.
