CaseCrown Bold Standby Case (Red) for iPad 4th Generation with Retina Display, iPad 3 & iPad 2 (Built-in Magnet for Sleep/Wake Feature)

I have tried 2 other cases (Snugg and Roo) and decided to go with this one because I found faults with the other two: the Roo opening for the camera did not line up and the stand mechanism didn't seem sturdy. Unlike the Snugg, the CaseCrown does not have a stylus holder but I can live without it - the color on the Snugg I ordered (orange) was flaking off which is why I returned that - though it seemed like a nice case though the fit, funnily enough, was not snug. The CrownCase color is similar to the Roo (mulberry) but apart from aesthetics it has ample opening for the speakers which the other cases did not.The leather or pleather of the CaseCrown feels fine and it fits snugly but the sleep feature on mine does not work at all - it did at first but I guess it has loosened up just by opening and closing. Since the iPad shuts off automatically I thought that wouldn't be a problem though it turns out it is annoying. What really frustrates me about this case is that the stitching is unravelling though I'm gentle with it and have had it only 30 days - that, combined with the diminished touted "sleep feature", makes me think this case isn't great quality. The return policy is for only a partial refund and I must pay shipping. I'll just keep it till it comes apart but I won't be buying CaseCrown again.

I chose this case for an ipad mini that I was getting my mom as it had so many rave reviews!!When it finally arrived today, I was severely disappointed!! Though the case seemed to be sturdy and had a clean finish, the cover would not close flat and was bent upwards and outwards along the fold on which the iPad mini is supposed to recline. The iPad mini does NOT go to sleep as advertised (this could perhaps be because of the fact that the cover does not even close shut properly.I had received an email from the seller(SenyxDirect) informing me that I will be receiving my order with a bit of delay as it was out of stock and had the option of canceling my order. I honestly wish I had done so immediately rather than waste my time acting for one and now endure the hassle of returning it and ordering another one which hopefully will function as advertised.NOTE: the cover for this case states that it is a "Protective case for tablets. fits 7" tablets". Nowhere on the cover does it specify that it was designed specifically for the iPad mini. Perhaps this could be another reason why it simply fails to put the mini to sleep as advertised.The only positive I can see is that the product was a beautiful deep maroon red color.Definite waste of money!!!!

I got an iPad 2 recently, my first after an Android tablet. There are so many more accouterments for the iPad, even a used one like mine. I ordered this case to act as a protector and also a stand. I gave it a solid 4 stars because it's not perfect but it's flaws are acceptable for the price. It's got a nice feel to it. It's not leather but it feels like it. It's not shiny or slick which helps keep in anchored in place when the cover is closed. It's a pretty red color and makes it easy to find in a purse or backpack. The angle is not adjustable when opened to use as a stand. I use it both the way it's displayed in the pictures depending on where I am and what I'm doing. It's mentioned in another review but if you need the iPad to be portrait (rather than landscape as shown in the photos) it won't work. It doesn't protect the screen but I planned to install an anti-glare screen protector. That is not strictly necessary since the glass is pretty sturdy (if you don't drop it) but it makes me feel better and also would help if in the event of an accidental drop. I use the iPad when cooking so I feel better in case of splatters. This case does protect the edges. I have had no issues with the cutouts for the home button and other controls. I'm happy with this purchase and hope this helps others to decide whether to buy.

This is a sturdy and well-priced case that provides protection to our iPad. This is actually our second CaseCrown case we have purchased from Amazon. Our first, which was black and which we had for three years, was starting to wear in the crease from our kids folding back the front cover countless times. The first case endured constant wear and tear (and could probably continue to last a little longer), but I decided to spend $10 for a new case while it's still available (since we own an earlier generation iPad). I really don't think you could expect anything more from such a well-priced, attractive, and functional case.

The problem with this is case is this:The piece that they use to connect the screen cover to back of the case is too flexible. They made it too long without any reenforcement. When the case is open and propped up either vertically or horizontally, this connector piece allows too much play with the case, which makes it unstable. Not too much of problem if the case is upright for watching a video, but definitely moved around under hand when typing. Also when opened and folded flat, this looseness causes the iPad to shift and slip as your hand will be holding the screen cover underneath the part that contains the iPad. I totally felt like I was going to drop my iPad if I held it open flat. This was the main reason I returned this item.Other than that the leather was of nice quality and the product seemed well put together.Amazon handled the return brilliantly. Thank you.
