OMG!!! that was a close one.
after looking at the picture for this ram upgrade kit i thought it was like any other DDR2 stick of ram once i opened the package i was BLOWN AWAY normally a stick of ram width wise is about an inch so the ones i had received where half that they where very small compared to what is in the picture from KOMPUTERBAY at that time my heart sunk so far into my stomach it felt like i was pragnat but after 15 minutes i had the ram installed after that time so much sweet was poring off my forehead it seemed like it was raining inside my apartment.now that i got that out of the way lets get down to performance, i installed the 2 gb of ram without problems along side the already 1 gb 2x 512 mb that came with the system and after i installed a Dedicated Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GT 610 1024MB GDDR3, DVI, VGA and HDMI Graphics Card the card is performing very well with small indie games such as BANISHED & MINECRAFT with the video card and the 3 gb of ram i thought that it wouldn't hold up during MAX settings on *banished but it performed beautifully with absolutely NO LAG at all.now off to minecraft how it performed and what was my FPS before and after the settings on the graphics card before the setting i installed all drivers and played a bit of MC without updates on settings or changing anything i was getting 35 to 48 FPS so i wanted to change some setting to see if i could at least Squeeze every possible FPS i could out of the video card and the Available ram so i changed all settings in the video card to performance and what a HUGE difference it made i was getting 120 to 160 FPS, i did however try a few texture packs for Minecraft just to see how it would do and couldn't be any happier with the results here are the texture packs i used for testing and the FPS with each one.1.6 Docm77 Resource Pack v2 - 135/150 FPS Smooth as slikLB Photo Realism x64 10.0.0 - 115/100 FPS NO LAGLB Photo Realism x256 10.0.0 - 95/110 FPS minimal LAGover all recommend this ram upgrade to anyone its performing as expected.

Perfect for that older computer
Sometimes you get what you pay for - and sometimes you don't. In this case, in some ways I did, and in others I did not.Let me clarify; this was cheap ($$) memory, but absolutely perfect. With that older computer that just needed a little bit more memory to keep it viable for a year or so, this memory was absolutely what the doctor ordered. I did not want to sink a whole lot of money into a machine that was going to be retired reasonably soon anyway, but had to get some more memory for it. So, in a search for the cheapest memory I could find, this came up, and I figured I'd give it a shot. I don't regret that decision at all - the memory has worked flawlessly, and the machine is usable once again.Don't let the lack of a name-brand make you go hunting elsewhere. If the speeds that you are expecting are comparable to the specs of this memory, you might as well save a little. If you are hunting for the absolute fastest and top of the line memory for that super-critical application, then you should probably be hunting for a different class of memory to begin with - this won't work in the newest of computers (which may well be using DDR3 or whatever comes later) or in high end servers (which typically require FB-DIMM memory) - but for the machines where this will work, it will work just fine.No complaints whatsoever, and I'll certainly be back for more Komputerbay for other needs down the line...

Computer bootup fine. I was able to go online for about ...
PC always crash on first bootup.I received an email today from the company asking me to review my purchase experience so here it is.I purchase this RAM to upgrade my Kid's computer. I don't use my kids computer that much so it is too late for me to realize that the problem was with this RAM. After the upgrade, my kid would sometimes come to me saying that her computer froze. There is nothing I can do but to perform a hard reboot to get the computer working again. After the hard reboot, the computer will work without any problem. System check test out everything to be ok so I thought that my kid just did something that make the computer froze. One day, I used my kid's computer as our main computer is being occupied by my significant other. Computer bootup fine. I was able to go online for about a minute then the computer just froze. I did a hard reboot and everything work fine for the day. The following day, my kid come to me again with the same problem. I asked her what was she doing before the computer froze and she said she have not done anything yet cause it froze right after it started. Again, I did a hard reboot and everything works fine. I did a google search about the possible issue and it points to a generic memory being used.To test the theory of some users on the forum. I set the computer to just go to sleep after 30 minutes of inactivity and and told my kid not to shutdown the computer. The computer works fine for days if you don't turn it off completely. After 3 days I shutdown the PC. The next day, the computer froze again after a couple of minutes of it being turned on.I removed this RAM and leave the old memory in place everything works ok now. No more computer freeze problem. It could be that it is not compatible with my board but if it is not then it should have not work in the first place. I purchase the product on April 7 and it was already out of Amazon return policy so I'm out of luck.I recommend that you buy a brand name RAM. If you decide to purchase this product due to low cost, make sure to install it right away and test thoroughly so you have enough time to return and get a replacement.
