So I have owned this shaver for a few months and in my opinion it is the best all over body shaver I have ever purchased. Prior to this I had one shaver for my face and another one for my nose. The beard trimmer was okay but it was lacking power and kept getting jammed. The nose trimmer was just awful... It was so weak that it could barely trim nose hair in fact it became painful because instead of cutting the hair it pulled it out. Plus both shavers kept cutting out as they got jammed with hair and overheated. This Braun shaver is an all in one it does everything! It has multiple attachments so you can shave all over your body. I have used it to shave my face and it does a pretty good job. It is powerful so you don't have to worry about it cutting out at all. The shave quality is quite good not as close as a wet shave but then is any electric shaver going to get that close? Unlikely. I have used the nose trimmer attachment and omg the power! It just works and it cuts the hair as you would expect no pulling hair out like my previous shaver. It is just as good for ears as well honestly there are so many attachments you will find one that works. I suppose many people want to know how good it is for shaving "sensitive areas". Well here is some good news it does the job and does not leave a mess. I am yet to shave my head because I am not a barber but I imagine it would work well because it has attachments for shaving your head and the shaver is powerful enough to do the job. The shaver is not too loud I have noticed it can be quieter depending on the attachment you use. My only concern is that it does not have a great travel case. There is one for storing the attachments which is fine I guess. But I would be concerned that the shaver would get scratched up if you put it in the same bag. So I have been putting the shaver in a Logitech cable bag. It fits perfectly.

I do quite a bit of travelling and it’s always been a pain carrying a trimmer and close shaver in my case. This has everything, trimmer with various shaving levels, nose and ear shaver, close shaver and more! It all fits really easily into my wash bag in a small bag provided, even the charger! The parts are easy to swap over too and it’s easy to keep clean. It’s lightweight, it doesn’t feel cheap and it has a good run on a single charge. Unlike my other shaver this is relatively quiet. I don’t know what the overall battery life will be but it’s only needed a couple of charges since I bought it a few months ago. I can’t recommend this enough, it’s really handy and it does the job.

So after looking for so long i finally decided to go with this Braun shaver because the more expensive shavers out there have such mixed reviews whereas this is all positive. I have the old black and blue model which has served me well and for years so this is another reason i choose this model as it is the upgraded model of what i had. So what could go wrong, nothing this truly is an amazing shaver the cut is more precise than the old model as it's a full metal plate with blade that dose not snag or anything leaving a good even stubble look. I also did my chest and bits and it cuts with no issues whatsoever, so glad i went with this as i was prepared to pay double for a shaver. Battery isn't tested yet as its new but my old version i charged every 3-4 weeks and i shave ever other day! This is an honest review, the shaver is worth every penny and i can't see any reason whay someone would be disappointed.

5 years ago, I bought the Braun MGK 7221 for trimming my beard, hair and body and it's held up remarkably well, despite heavy use. My favourite thing about its design is how easy it is to disassemble, since it allowed me to replace the battery once it showed signs of degrading. I did this at the start of this trimmer's 4th year and upgraded the 700 mAh battery with a 1000 mAh battery from eBay. Another upgrade would be to buy one of those Yinke 12V USB-C charger adapters from Amazon, so that you can charge it with the same cable that you charge your phone with, instead of using the proprietary charger that comes with it. This saves me a lot of space when travelling.

Having used this trimmer only once my review may warrant an update later but for now the item loses two stars because the accessory heads are attached by sliding them into the top of the trimmer but there is nothing to lock them in place and consequently when using the body trimmer attachment the head fell of as I moved the foil head accros my body. The quality of the attachment plastic is also disappointing as I expected better from Braun whose name I previously associated with quality. I will be honest and say that had I not used the trimmer I would have returned it for a refund and bought another Phillips body trimmer which I used previously and which was a far superior quality build but I mistakenly thought I'd try another respected brand like Braun. Edit 04/10/2025 First of all my previous comment is still valid but having used the trimmer a number of times now I must admit that the foil body trimmer head is really rather good and I admit better than my previous Philips trimmer. We men have a treasured part of our anatomy that is very sensitive and I can confirm that the foil head attachment used on this area is surprisingly easy and entirely nick free so I restore one star to give this item four stars with one star removed for the potential for the not so securely held head attachments to become dislodged. The bottom line is that the safety of the foil head compensates for the not so secure head attachment method so maybe Braun could improve on that and regain the fifth star.

I've been using Phillips bears trimmers for a very, very long time and have been very happy with them. However I saw this all-in-one kit, the last Phillips was getting a bit long in the tooth, and Prime Day tempted. 1. NOT YOUR MAIN TRIMMER? The Phillips featured incremental sizes between grades, even going into .5's between them. The Braun is more complicated. There's no visual guide, just a number of clicks on the plastic head/s available to use. While on the one hand it's possible to get used to these, it's not visually appealing and, given any sleepy morning, could be a risky prospect. As it stands I'm not entirely confident in using it for it's main purpose. EXTRAS. THE EXCELLENT. Nose trimmer is quick and very thorough. Likewise the detailer is outstanding, foil trimmer superb. Absolutely top note. HMM .. and then NO. Body groomer takes a bit of getting used to, but got there when trimming my chest. As for more intimate grooming, three cuts in the first attempt. WEIGHT AND HEAT. It's quite a chunky unit, the heft gives it a bit of uncertainty, instability and at times I couldn't entirely be sure it wasn't going to rock in my hand and cause an issue. It also got VERY warm in a short space of time. Disturbingly so. I DIDN'T TRY. The razor. OVERALL. The supplemental aspects - nose trimmer, detailer, foil trimmer are excellent. Body groomer eventually gets decent results on the top half, a catastrophe with more intimate grooming. If money is no object and you're after the extras, they absolutely complement a grooming routine. However I don't trust the unit *at all*, it's unstable in the hand and gets very warm. The actual beard trimming aspect is really unclear and what seems to me like a real design fault, particularly in comparison to the visual precision of the Phillips trimmers. I hope this helps!
