Good for a disposable headset
These were bought for replacement headphones for an assisted listening system in a church. We bought two of these and two low price Sony headsets which were three times the cost and put all four in service. I gave these 5-stars because at around $5.00 per headset they work just fine for what they are intended and could be affordably replaced if they get dirty or damaged. They do not sound bad but are not audiophile quality by any means. They work fine for the assisted listening receivers. The ear cushions are foam so you cannot clean them and if multiple people are using them you need to keep an eye on them and replace when needed. We hand out the two Sony's (which can be wiped down) first then these so with the minimal usage, they should last a very long time making them a good long term investment and at the low cost we are not going to feel bad if we have to replace one.

Perfect for this "uncool" mom, haha!
Our teenage son always seems to somehow 'confiscate' and then proceed to break and/or lose every set of earbud-type earphones in our house, including mine that came with my iPod. So, he has now been relegated to only owning the least expensive kind I can find for him (even if that means pink ones, lol). So, after perusing Amazon, I bought these headphones for him because 1) they were so inexpensive, 2) the reviews were pretty good, and 3) did I mention they were so inexpensive? Well, when they arrived, I opened them up to check them out and make sure they worked and such. I was impressed and I really liked them. But when I gave them to my son, I quickly learned that, according to my son, over-the-head type "headphones" (as opposed to the in-ear or ear bud type) are so "80's" and "uncool looking". Was I angry at him for basically calling me "old and uncool" for liking these headphones? No way!! This was my perfect solution to keep him from "borrowing" and then losing/breaking MY headphones. Besides, I never really liked the ones that go into the ears anyhow. So now these are mine! For what it's worth, I feel neither "old" nor "uncool" while wearing them. I promise!! *They fit great, they are snug but not TOO snug. If I was into jogging and/or some other type of strenuous exercise, I don't think I would have any trouble keeping them in place on my ears/head (I swim for exercise so obviously I can't wear them for that, lol). *The quality of sound is fantastic to me - although I'm not really an "audio snob". *They are extremely adjustable on both sides although I happen to use them on the smallest setting without needing to make them any bigger. *They are lightweight, as stated in the description, but not in a 'flimsy' kind of way. I don't think they are any more or less breakable than any other kind of similar headphones (yes, I did go through many sets of headphones like these during the 1980's). Since I don't expect to be rough with them at all, I am hoping they last me quite awhile. If not, and they do somehow break, at least I wouldn't feel *too* bad only being out a few dollars. I would ABSOLUTELY order these again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for inexpensive, but nice, headphones. They are perfect for this "uncool" mom. :-) ***UPDATE*** June, 2015: Well it's been nearly two years and I've gone through about three pairs of these headphones (and I'm going to order a few more after I write this - now that they have pretty color options). Not one pair has broken yet, they just seem to get lost somehow (in our house, we joke that when things go missing it's because unicorns come and eat them). I'm glad they have color options now and I would still absolutely recommend these inexpensive, and nice, headphones.

Very good for the price
I use these as PC headphones. For podcasts and a little bit of music listening, these are plenty good enough. For the price, you can easily buy several pairs and have backups. The sound quality is okay, but there isn't much bass response which is expected at this price point. I have a large head and these fit snug, but you can bend the plastic headband a bit and that works to get comfortable. The cord length is short, but good for a phone or sitting close to a laptop. It is a bit difficult to see which headphone is Left and Right, but there is an L and R if you look really closely. Be aware, there is no mic or volume button controls.

Work great, ear covers come off quickly
A great value, even if the ear covers never stay on

no need for TV sound bar...
Why didn't I think of this a long time ago??? Years of trying to hear dialogue from the muffled sound coming out of the speakers *behind* the TV, giving up and keeping subtitles on always. Kept vaguely trying to figure out where I could put a sound bar, and thinking how so many sound bars are apparently just *bad* (unless you spend hundreds of $ more - ?). These lightweight headphones are great for the price, I no longer need subtitles, and with a 25' extension cord, I can even let the dog out without missing anything.

Good enough
Good enough. The top part that goes over the head seems to be made of plastic. It's very tight when placed over the head. I want to stretch it out to make it more comfortable, but am afraid it will crack. I just turn up the volume and wear around my neck. Headphones were cheap, so it's good enough.

Standard headphones for standard needs
I'd like to start this review by stating I am not an audiophile by any means, I just dabble in it. I needed a cheap, lightweight headset for listening to YouTube and other platforms when I grow tired of my wireless earbuds; or they die and I'm frankly too lazy to charge them. This fits that need. The cord length is fine albeit a bit thin my cats did chew through one pair (bought two). Comfort wise is as expected for plastic speakers covered with a soft foam, if you had a Walkman back in the day, you're already familiar. The sound quality surprised me for the price, but they're Koss I shouldn't be surprised that they're good.

These ARE NOT RECOMMENDED: JUNK HEADPHONES
Horrible headphones, not worth more around $1.00. Bought 2 sets, 1 for myself and 1 for my wife. Within just an hour or two if my wife using hers one of the earpiece pads just fell off and wasn't able to be reattached, it just split apart, rendering it useless. The audio from them is the worst I've ever heard, as a matter of fact I bought a set that was much nicer and cost less than these at my local Dollar General, and those were even better made and far superior sound quality too. I can't even describe how horrid the sound is on these, but I sure can't see why anyone, especially a school would recommend these for young students, they're not a great quality in build or audio for student use. Absolutely not. I only bought these because my local D.G. Store was closed currently out of stock and no idea when they'll get the ones that lasted me over 7 years for a smaller price, folded up, had noise cancellation, and the ear coverings were like very soft earmuffs covered in plastic, comfortable. These terrible headphones had none of this, but I did expect a better quality audio, but I believe the audio is diminished by using 32-ohm speakers instead of the standard 8-ohm type which gives far superior sound quality(my opinion) but that's also what my Dollar General headphones were rated 8-ohm and until I accidentally sat on them and broke one side off, I'd still be using those. I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE HEADPHONES! LOOK FOR A BETTER QUALITY PAIR. These are junk.
