Aran CraftsMen's Fisherman Irish Rib Crew Neck Wool Sweater (100% Pure Wool)

Hands down the best sweater I've ever worn! It's made extremely well, very comfortable, and super warm. It fits great (42R coat size; 15.5x 32 shirt size, and I wear a large). Have only worn it 2x so far, but my hunch is that it will last a long time. I really like the charcoal color - not too dark but still goes well with a black suit. A great sweater and well priced for the kind of quality and durability you get with this sweater. I'm a new fan of Aran Crafts brand for sure.

Review for 5'11", 185 lbs M: size "L" was a perfect fit.This is a heavy sweater- perfect for 50F rambles through the countryside with your loyal dog at your side. Maybe even too warm for inside, unless you happen to live in a thatched stone cottage off of the wild Atlantic coast. It's very comfortable, well built & looks fantastic.Bonus that it is made in Ireland.

1/27/2023Beautiful garment that fits like a glove, which for me, is good. But If I were 180-90# the XL would be necessary for the shoulders and possibly the sleeves. The sleeves are JUST long enough for my 33" arm length but the stomach size is Ample for larger guts. The quality of this sweater is 100% awesome, you won't find a better quality anywhere. The weave, warmth and color-purple are everything I hoped for...it's great to WIN once in a while! It's only a question of size. With Amazon making it so easy to exchange or credit your account buying this sweater is nothing to worry about. Always wanted a (Merino wool sweater made in Ireland) and this is it. Did I say this is Awesome?...it really is beautiful! Note - I'm just a retired guy who has no association with any company or product so trust that this is an HONEST review.

I've been wanting a rugged looking fisherman style sweater for a while and has been eyeballing one from another company but it was 3x this price and not Irish. So I did a little digging for alternatives and stumbled on this brand.I bought the sweater in charcoal and it's exactly what I was after. Fits great, love the look of it, very warm, the charcoal color is really nice and has little flecks of lighter gray here and there that are really handsome. Some people in these reviews seem to think they smell sheepy, but I really like the way it smells and it's not pungent at all. Also it's a tad itchy, but in an oddly pleasant way. Definitely gonna be wearing this all the time and am also looking at another one by this company.1 Year Update:Had the sweater for a year and I still love it. Very comfortable. Whatever "sheepy" smell it had when I bought it is totally gone. I will say it has loosened up a good bit and has kind of that loose, floppy sweater vibe going on a bit now which is nice for around the house, but I dunno if I'd call it a sharp look for going out. I feel like I could probably wear a size down and am considering buying a small. Only other downside at the 1 year mark is that this thing for sure pills a good bit. I have picked a lot of sweater fuzz off of it in the last year. Especially around the arms/elbows.All in all still a big fan of this sweater, especially for this price.

It's a really nice sweater. I am not sure if I will be able to wear it. The neck hole is amazingly small. I have a big head but a normal sized neck. This is so tight on my neck it is rubbing, not in a good way. Other then the neck it fits very well and is very warm. It shouldn't be difficult to upsize the collar. Dampen it, stretch it, let it dry. Stretch in small increments.

Wonderful product. This sweater is classic, well made, and very warm. I love it and so, glad to have it in the wardrobe.

This is a high quality sweater that looks and feels like it will last decades with proper care and maintenance. In jacket size I'm a 36-short and the small fit's me perfectly. It makes me wish the weather was colder more often.

This sweater is right out of a William Trevor short story. A real classic, with the look, comfort, and warmth of old days. I almost look forward to the weather turning colder.
