Edgar Allan Poe Tarot

I usually don’t right reviews but I was so blown away by the exquisite artistry. This is one of the most beautiful decks I have purchased. It comes with a gorgeous full size companion book. I am so happy with this purchase.

Edgar Allen Poe is my favorite author, and I've been wanting a Poe-themed tarot deck for ages. My dream just came true! The deck creator really knows her Poe as each card is inspired by Poe's short stories, novellas, and poetry. I cannot imagine the years of research she did in order to accomplish this. The book is quite excellent, well-written, and lengthy. Brava! The art on the cards is well-done, but a little unexpected. It feels a little like comic book art which I didn't expect on a Poe deck. The colors are rich and the art is very expressive which I totally appreciate. But, I do have ridiculously high standards insofar that I would have liked something a little more dark, chiascurro, and gothic for a Poe deck. Or even something akin to Edward Gorey's style. I don't hate the art, it's just not to my taste. However, it's not stopping me from using it as the artist does get the "creepy" factor in Poe's work. It's kind of quirky. Production values are top notch. The boxed kit is in a sturdy box with a magnetic closure, and the cards are nestled inside along with the lengthy guidebook. Card stock is good and the card backs are a hoot (I'll leave it for you to discover). The paperback guidebook is fully color with glossy pages. Get it. It's awesome. :)

This deck is so beautiful! The artwork looks so realistic with it's glossy feature. These cards come with a book as well to help you easily read the meanings of them. They are big cards so shuffling may not be easy for some. They are just right for me. These are usually my go to cards just for some clarification. I would truly recommend these especially if you are an Edgar Allen Poe fan.

This is my second tarot deck, I have had the Rider tarot deck for probably 8 years and I am just now getting into using more decks (partially because my og is holding on for dear life) this tarot deck is beautifully illustrated and it has so much symbolism and hidden meanings from Edgar Allan Poe‘s works; every single car that is perfectly illustrated and it shows some sort of component from his works, it almost feels like an inside joke if you know the specific stories that they’re referencing through the cards and their meetings, which I love. The guidebook is beautifully illustrated and it has a very thorough description of each card based on its illustration and then it has a description with upright and downwards meanings depending on the card selected— written in a beautiful poetic manner (just like EAP would love). The box that the deck comes in is super sturdy and hard cardboard that protects the deck and guidebook (my box got a little damaged during shipping but the cards and guidebook are in totally 10/10 condition). Totally worth the buy!!

Wonderfully illustrated deck that takes the symbolism of Poe’s characters and stories and applies them to tarot. Love that the companion book not only gives explanation to the card’s meanings but also context to what story of Poe’s the reimagined scene is inspired from, which includes quotes from that particular piece, and how it realates to a traditional tarot deck. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys Poe’s work and beautiful, detailed illustrations!

El artículo llegó en excelentes condiciones, bien empaquetado para no sufrir daños en el traslado. También llegó dos dias antes de la fecha anunciada. El tarot de Edgar Allan Poe es mucho mas hermoso de lo que me imaginé y el libro está muy completo y bonito también. Está en inglés pero es bastante comprensible si conoces lo básico. Definitivamente es un artículo de colección y una obra de arte. Sin embargo debo decir que no es para principiantes, debes saber leer el tarot Rider y conocer los cuentos del autor para saber interpretar estas cartas. A los fans de Poe les fascinará ya que menciona muchos de sus cuentos y personajes emblemáticos. Este mazo reúne dos de mis pasiones: el tarot y los cuentos macabros de Edgar Allan Poe, lo amo!!

The cards are ok, but i loved the histories behind every card

This is a fabulous gothic tarot deck and a fabulous book with really good in-depth meanings to the cards that really seem to fit. The illustrations are wonderful and capture the mood. Really could spend ages reading the book as there is so much information which is a proper representation of the illustrations. Highly recommended.

This is my most used deck and the card stock is sturdy and cards are vibrant. The deck is used a lot but still looks fresh and new!! Gives accurate readings too
