I'm older and my gumline is receding, and my mouth is horrifically dry at night which worsens the gum recession. So I sought out something to use AFTER my fluoride toothpaste. It does not contain fluoride, but incredibly weak teeth run in my family. Alas, most fluoride is sodium based so I wanted something that wouldn't dry out my mouth.Taste: the toothpaste is a bit overwhelming with the clove taste, but the mouth isn't.**Important note: I chose to add two teaspoons of organic calendula oil on top of what the mouthwash already contains, just to further help keep my mouth from drying out, and it's a fantastic addition. I'll do so with the next bottle I buy as well.**I do notice my mouth instantly salivating after rinsing, so the taste works! I've been using it for about two weeks and my mouth doesn't feel like the Sahara at all when I wake up, so it's likely helping with the gum recession, as well as having excellent herbs for periodontal issues.I also got the toothpaste, which I'll review separately. I highly recommend both. The toothpaste I use on my gums and tongue!If you need fluoride though, it has none. If you seek to avoid fluoride, you are in luck!

I have searched for a long time for a mouthwash that's alcohol-free, mint-free. I gave up a long time ago and decided that I'd just have to go without mouthwash (even the alcohol-free mint varieties burn terribly and I couldn't handle the burn), so I was just swishing with water.I found this mouthwash when I decided that it was time to start the search again because mouthwash is supposed to be good for one's oral health. Having a mouthwash that tastes good and doesn't burn has vastly improved my regiment because I am more than happy to use it!I am currently using it along with Tom's of Maine Strawberry (I was using Orange Crest, but after awhile it began to burn like regular mint products so I switched after having chatted with my sister who loves the strawberry Tom's (as do her two kids)).Admittedly, it took a bit of getting used to swishing with something that's actually... well... tasty (and with a strong orange flavor that I would compare to orange Tang)! It puts off my fiance because he's so used to mint, so we use different mouthwashes. *shrugs* There's no accounting for taste I guess!I am currently pregnant and like most people this means my gums are more prone to bleeding. No other mouthwash has been quite as effective at stopping the bleeding and I usually have to gargle several times before I'm assured that it's done.I'm not sure exactly why this mouthwash works so well (I suspect it's due to the aloe), but it does it's tag line justice ("Bleeding gums? Try this!" No, really, TRY THIS!!!).I notice that after gargling when I spit (when my gums have been bleeding), I seem to spit out what looks like small amounts of clotted blood... And then the bleeding's done (unlike other mouthwashes or water where they keep bleeding and I spit out lots of liquid blood).This mouthwash has been a lifesaver! I'm never going back!I have even suggested it to friends who are pregnant or have had problems with bleeding gums.Keep up the good work, Natural Dentist, and don't ever change! :)

I was thrilled to find a mouthwash that claims to prevent plaque (not always easy to find) and still be more on the natural side. I also thought maybe the flavor would not be as strong. Well, I was wrong. The flavor is very strong, and it is not good for people that are sensitive to artificial smells. Even though this product does say it is more natural, again it is strong in smell and not a smell I really like.THE GOOD NEWS: I tried pouring one-2 small drops in a cup then watering it down. And wow, did it fix the problem! Luckily, it still worked as there was less plaque on my teeth!

The Natural Dentist Healthy Gums Mouth wash, peppermint twist flavor isa great mouthwash with perfect ingredients to soothe my gums. The problem is that somehow it is in short supply and the sellers are gouging us on shipping. I will have to look for another mouthwash and I am sick that you find a great product and the companies gough us. I had to pay the same price to ship that the product cost! Needed it but I will look for other products and other sellers that don't take advantage of their customers!

Not a bad product, great ingredients, all that jazz. However, the taste is awful in my opinion. Like holy crap, it tastes like straight stevia — it's sickly sweet. I'm going to finish this one for my gums, but it's hard to keep this one in your mouth. I wish they leaned more into the clean minty flavor instead of sweet sweet sweet. Not for me.
