The Goes Wrong Show [DVD] [2020]

I think we all need a laugh, wether it's a circusclown, sitcom, standup and so on. I don't think humor is country bound. We all love a good German comic show (only joking).Some of the best comic shows i haveseen were American. TBBT and Friends and certainly the brilliant HIMYM. If you have to look this up you'reno fun, go away. The Brits have a different sense of humor. Watch Mr.Bean or the Blackadder series. And it's this difference that makes The Goes Wrong Show so great. Only a British director and actors steeped in British theatre can make a show go wrong by accident/on purpose. Just try it, do and ruin yr acting, text, and set, and in doing so go against everything you trained for all yr life. I watch them at home and give them a standing ovation, every time. Well done old chaps.

We've been fans of Mischief Theatre since we first saw The Play That Goes Wrong. One of the reasons I wanted this was to get hold of the bonus content "Meet the Folks Who Actually Make it Go Wrong". This is an 8 minute video where we hear from all the actors and we see clips from the show as they speak (there is at least one shot that wasn't in "The Lodge"). It's a shame that there are no deleted scenes or outtakes though. It's also a shame that there is no Blu Ray version. Thankfully you can buy the series in HD on Amazon Video.The six episodes are truly fantastic entertainment. It's difficult to pick a favourite. At a push I would probably choose "The Trial" with it's perfect blend of clever dialogue, visual and physical humour. Since watching (and re-watching) the episodes, we have been quoting them at each other an awful lot:"What are you doing? Do not participate. Unbelievable.""Delicious.""This is not your best work.""Am I giving a good performance?""Dear Santa...bring it down a bit...""Petits Filous"We have been telling all our friends to watch the show and we are hoping they get to make a second series!

Mischief theatre are brilliant, & The Goes Wrong show is excellent.

A funny modern BBC comedy.

Really enjoying the chance to watch and rewind and laugh even more at the very clever creative Mischief Theatre team as they create comedy gems in this BBC TV series The Goes Wrong Show. (Also Loved seeing them live in London in The Play That Goes Wrong, then in Peter Pan Goes Wrong, followed by The Comedy About a Bank Robbery and Magic Goes Wrong.) Their genius production ideas, perfectly timed comic acting, physical comedy and laugh out loud script certainly all goes completely right for me. Loving it. Sheer good mood laughter escapism.

got this to watch( having watched it years ago on bbc been saying for years they need to put it on DVD- "MISCHIEF THEATRE" these are a set of actors who i think started on the varity show, then went on to do a few plays on BBC -Pan gone wrong,a christmas carol gone wrong etc-NOW on dvd, we have been lucky enough to see them live a couple of times and watched the streamed shows from the bunker during lockdown, they are touring again now, and have also released several DVD please watch they are amazing, it is family enough for all ages kids will love it, but also so cleverly done adults will too I would give it 10 STARS if I could
