Great metal saw.
Best metal chop saw under $1000.00 Perfect cuts. Blade lasts for hundreds of cuts.

A good product but great customer service.
I purchased this saw to do some metal working projects around the house. It was a good price and had good reviews. Even watched YouTube videos on the saw. So I bought one. The great customer service comes in here. The saw arrived promptly, however it was missing the blade. Everything thing I read, the question I asked on Amazon lead back to the blade should have been included. I wasn't sure if I had missed something before I reached out to the company about this. So I did. After only a bit of questions and answers they sent me a blade. It arrived quickly and trust me I was itching to start cutting. I then started cutting some T-Slot and various other aluminum. It works great. It made clean square cut. Overall I recommend this product.

really good saw.
So, I bought this after buying the wrong chop saw. I needed something that could work with nailed boards. Basically, I got a bunch of heat-treated pallets that I am using for an outside project. Some of the boards I was not able to get the nail nubs and broken bits out. So, I got this bad boy after seeing the video on here and became convinced this is what I needed. I do a lot of DYI projects at my house and am currently working on an open-air hot house and a country styled plank fence. Some of the pallet material is not good for building anything but will make good fire wood. The problem is that the unusable bits are chock full of nails that will not budge. looking at the problem the saw is perfect for this. I wanted to see what the saw blade can do so I tested it on some scrap material first cut some metal then some wood then some wood with nails. the cuts were clean as my planer. even with the metal bits no burrs to worry about. Only suggestion to people is do your cuts slow do not force it down quick if you want a good clean cut. Though unlike the video mine did not come put together out of the box. Though it was easy to put the blade on and then set it up. I believe that this is a good saw and for the price its almost one of those things that seem like it would be too good to be true but the dang thing works as advertised. I just have to get a couple of extra blades for it and I might pick up one of their blades for my table saw.

Cuts great! Well built, not cheap Chinesium. No quick release on holding clamp. Saw base will flex.
Evolution R355CPS 10/19/21 $239.99 usd. I would Recommend this saw. I have only tried the saw on a couple pieces of metal so far. The cuts are FAST and mostly clean. If you cut too quickly, it will effect the quality of the cut and leave a burr on the metal. I noticed the cuts were not square out of the box, so I checked the fence and noticed the blade was out of square. Simple adjustment no problem. The handle for the clamp is beefy metal not cheap plastic but the holding clamp has no quick release and it will bind-up on the base when you are trying to tighten it to your material, it is pretty annoying to say the least because you need three hands to do the job. Also, the base flexes when you tighten the holding clamp but that is very common for this type of saw. The adapter for holding round stock or 45 degree angle will sometimes hold the material up off the saw base, so the material being cut must be supported at the far end to avoid un-square cuts. The saw is stable and well built, it does not tip over when you raise the handle. Definitely wear EAR protection and a face shield with eye protection underneath. This machine throws metal chips in every direction. I don't recommend gloves, because metal chips may fly into the cuff of the glove. Overall a great buy for the money, it outperforms an abrasive type cut-off saw by a mile for the same price and no heat or sparks. Too good to be true! Four stars because of the holding clamp.

This Evolution Rocks
This is my first metal cutting saw using a blade. For the last several years, I've been borrowing my neighbor's saw with an abrasive wheel. It was a whole lot better than my hand-held cut-off saws. However, on my last welding project, I needed to cut several1/4"-wall square tubing sections square and to a 1/8" tolerance. It got close, but it still involved a fair amount of time on the grinding wheel in order to get it within tolerance. So, I decided to buy my own saw. After reading all the reviews I decided on this Evolution. I know Evolution has an upgrade model with quick-setting fences and miters, and if I were working in a fabrication shop, I would have spent the extra $100 and purchased that one. But for my home shop, I don't need to quickly change numerous settings. Besides, the allen wrench you need to loosen the appropriate fence, or change the blade, or anything else, is handily parked at the front of the machine in its own little holder. And this model comes with a multi-tasked blade that will cut through steel, plastic, aluminum, and wood. Speaking of cuts, this saw is amazing. I did replace the Evolution blade with a Diablo 75-tooth Steel Demon (it's sold on Amazon, too). Why? I want to save my Evolution blade for cutting aluminum and wood. I've waited many years for a miter saw that would cut straight through a 4x4 or 6x6 without turning the block of wood over and trying to match the cut on the other side. And I also wanted to be able to cut through lumber that might have an embedded nail or two, without ruining the blade. This saw with the TCT blade will do that. To test this saw, I cut through a scrap piece of 1/4"-wall angle iron. Since I haven't built a stand for it, yet, I just set the Evolution up on top of my table saw and turned it on. First off, it's a lot quieter than an abrasive blade saw. Second, it's a solid as a rock. There is no vibration at all. Third, it's fast. And finally, look at that cut. It has a mirror-like finish like a proof coin. Literally! The pictures I took on top of my workbench show the reflections of a red marking crayon and a .22 round I put in front of it just to display this amazing cut. You don't get finish like that on your cut if your saw has any sort of vibration at all in the shaft or bearings or base. This saw--none. Solid. One final note. My saw came without a rubber foot on the right rear corner. Even though it did not effect the stability, I'd thought I'd get one. I contacted Evolution. The saw is made that way. A rubber foot might burn because the right rear catches the majority of the sparks when you cut metal. To avoid any problems, they designed the base to have a bare metal foot in that position. That's just one example of the attention to detail and quality build that you'll find in this saw. I discover more and more every time I use it. If you do any kind of metal work that involves cutting, you'll not find a better saw than this Evolution.

Great Saw
Surprised how great the product is. Blade it came with isn't half bad either. You never know what you get sometimes when you buy stuff online, but very please with this purchase. The machine is pretty quiet, and comes basically all set up. Slap the blade on and I was ready to go. I definitely pushed the blade a little and it held up cutting some pretty thick mild steel. Shaved a clean 6 inch cut out of a large block. Nothing but little chips left, and a near polish cut. Absolutely recommended this saw. I plan to build a table with a chip collector for making stupid stuff in the crucible.

Great Cold Saw
This thing is awesome. Like anyone who has done metal work, I've used many cutoff saws that are grinders. They make a huge mess and put the grinding dust into the air which is bad. Also the work gets hot and leaves slag and it's just not great. These Evolution saws are incredible. Lower RPM and a blade that cuts instead of tearing like abrasive wheel. It takes very little pressure to make cuts and it is precise and easy. And when the cut is complete, no heat. Put your hand right om the cut surface and it's not hot. Amazing. Also, instead of creating grindings that coat everything in the shop this thing creates metal saw dust. Most of it falls to the table, some of it is flung out to the floor but it's not just everywhere like debris from an abrasive wheel. This is the less expensive model. Just a basic cutoff saw format. It does not have all the clamping and mitering features of the more expensive model. But for my work it's great. I can cut any angle I want but I have to adjust the holding clamp instead of moving the blade. The more expensive model is more like a miter saw like you'd see for wood which is cool, but also almost three times the price.

Used for cutting .250 wall aluminum tubing and worked Great!
Purchased R355CPS saw for cutting some 1.25 in. diameter aluminum tubing with a .250 in. wall. I purchased and installed the Evolution 14BLADEAL Aluminum Cutting Saw Blade on the saw instead of the included multi-material blade. The saw cut through the heavy wall tubing like butter with very little to almost no burring. The saw did not strain in any way as light pressure was applied when cutting and I let the blade do the work. With light pressure, a cut through the tubing using the stated blade went through in approx. 30-40 seconds per cut and the cut was almost nonexistent of any heat at all. Smooth and clean. The only issue with the saw is the screw clamp which others have stated is very strong, but I did not get the same impression. The clamp is well made but has some play in it until it is tightened up against the material and then the platen that is on the end could be a little heavier material as when tightening against the Tubing with the included V-Notch adapter attached, did not feel as strong as I would have liked. Overall, I feel that, for the price the saw is well worth the money and if you use the correct blade for the material this should be able to hand most anything you throw at it. Very happy with the performance of the saw and well worth the price!
