I purchased this MMO mouse to replace my unreliable Razer 'Naga'. This unit us lighter, has a noticeably better battery, contains a storage space for the RF dongle (very useful for long term use), has FAR better software than the Razer equivalent and is compatible with the really nice 'iCue' colour co-ordination for peripherals software.The RF mode has great response time for games, switching between it and the energy-saving bluetooth mode is instant. There's multiple DPI settings you can flick through with one button. Highly recommended . Assuming this lasts better than the Razer Naga did, it represents pretty great value - even at the relatively steep £80 GBP price point.

One of the best MMO mouse IMO. It's big, but pretty comfortable. The buttons area can slide so you can position it perfectly. I like that each row has a different texture so you know where your thumb is.The Corsair iCue software is a bit of a monster and a pain to use, but that's fine, you won't have to use for too long. The profiles can be saved directly on the mouse so you won't have to re-install iCue on other computers which is very very handy.There is a ton of buttons but I do end up missing the forward/backward buttons when browsing. I probably need to make a special browsing profile for that.

I used to own the previous "Pro" version of this and it lasted just outside of it's 2 year warranty - numerous left & right mouse button issues and the mouse wheel snapped (made of cheap plastic). Saw the new "Elite" revision and decided why not, maybe they've made improvements.It's almost identical to the "Pro", the only difference I noticed was having clicky side/thumb buttons vs the old mushy ones. Been using it for almost 3 years with no issues until now where the middle click has given out. Not the plastic on the wheel that snapped (still uses the same stuff), just the button itself doesn't work 99% of the time.Overall I do like this mouse a lot it's just disappointing that corsair's scimtar mice only last just outside of warranty period. I imagine this is planned obsolescence to make you buy another.Pros:- Good size for medium hands- All the buttons have good clicky feel- Software has improved quite a lot in the past few years and is no longer a major pain point I used to haveCons:- Expect to replace or fix yourself every 2-3 years

Corsair SCIMITAR ELITE RGB WIRELESS MMO Gaming Mouse (what a mouthful - talk about a long name)-It feels well built and nice in the hand-lots of buttons and customisation via the app-so far the mouse wheel feels smooth-battery life (via inbuilt battery) is miles ahead of my old RAT 9 wireless mouse-flexibility of bluetooth or wireless receiver (the usb dongle is neatly hidden in the bottom of the mouse - nice touch)-ergonomics are pretty good and i love that the buttons have different textures to tell them apart without looking. The side buttons can also be slid closer and further from your thumb and locked in place.-usable for me as an adult with small baby handsNegatives- I miss my pinky and thumb rests from the RAT 9. The corsair has an indented place for the pinky but its not quite as comfortable though Im glad its there. Not something you find on all gaming mice.-The iCue software took 3 attempts to install for me. Could have been my AV detecting registry entries being made.-the inbuilt battery is a double edged sword - much larger capacity and charge at the cost of some effort to replace later down the line. Ive made my peace with this but worth thinking about.

The mouse is pretty smooth and feels nice in the hand, but unfortunately that's where i think the pro's stop.Now some of the negatives i find with this mouse is more of a personal opinion.The middle click/scroll wheel click is very stiff and takes alot of pressing force compared to any other mouse i've used.The 'number 1' side button feels far too close to the mouse matt (regardless of the position of the sliding keypad), and as i rest my thumb there i'm also simultaneously rubbing the side of my thumb across the mouse matt too, not too much of a pain but it just feels weird (again, personal opinion)Now the icue software is alittle confusing but i use it anyway for keyboard configuration so i got used to it quickly but i can totally understand why its such a negative aswell, absolutely not user/newbie friendly.So in conclusion yes it's a fine mouse, good for it's purpose, but there are much better, cheaper, simpler options out there that are far more user friendlyEDIT: after only 5 months of very light use, the mouse wheel is sticking to almost unbearable to use, after doing some research online, apparently this is a very common issue. absolutely ridiculous that a company like corsair would allow a product of this expense to have such an issue. Do not buy.

I had always been a Razer fan, and used to use a Razer Naga for MMO's but after purchasing a Corsair keyboard a couple of years ago, I have been converted. When it came time to replace my mouse, I decided to take a look at Corsairs offerings and came across the scimitar. I was really interested to see how good the num pad was on it and have found it to be fair superior to the Naga. Being able to adjust the position has been a real game changer as I now find it a lot more comfortable to use. Add to that the num pad light which makes playing in low light much easier and it has a good weight to it as well.The only thing I could complain about is the single moulded Left and Right buttons. Having used similar types before, I am concerned that they will lose clicks sooner than individual buttons, but as it is working fine at the moment, have still given 5 stars
