I have to edit this review but in the name of honesty I'll leave the original unedited below.I think what the reason for this is that my sense of taste has been influenced by cold weather, seasonal allergies, or something like that.What happened was that I saw the label saying "new improved taste" (even though that's not what I see in the pictures online, very confusing) and when I tasted it, it seemed much less tasty than I remember it being, I instantly concluded that the new improved taste must be one of those marketing moves where they make it cheaper and pretend it's about improving the taste.Anyway, I found one of the old cans somewhere and saw that the first ones that I bought also had the "new improved taste", so any difference that I've noticed probably isn't real. I suppose I have to wait until the summer to see if they still taste the same.Here's the original review I wrote before this edit:I bought a box a few months ago and it was great, pretty much the same as any orange soda.I wish I could do a side by side comparison. From what I remember about the old one, the only thing I can say is that the new one tastes cheaper, I don't know how else to describe it.

Very refreshing, especially straight out of the fridge. I don't like red bull or monster. This gives me just the right left in energy & doesn't make me feel shaky. Calorie content is perfect too.

In the realm of so many energy drinks saturating the market and wild inflation, 12 of these drinks for less than £9 Is a bargain when you put it into perspective. Granted they are 330ml and not 500ml, but this generally doesn't matter and does the job just fine. The Mango flavour is by far the best out of the Carabao line, however I wouldn't put these above the the very top leagues of great tasting energy drinks. It's just very hard to complain for the money. Worth a try!

Having been more a fan of the Green Apple carabaos, this flavour has slowly grown on me and quickly become my favorite. The taste is sweet to begin with but has a nice lingering fruit after taste, whereas the Green Apple is a bit more acidic than I would prefer.The energy that this provides is comparable than a red bull. I would say most of the time it gives less of a boost in energy than red bulls, but I think that this is actually a positive since this has less of a crash than higher caffeine energy drinks. The taurine, like other energy drinks also balances out these jitters to a certain extent.

Great flavour. A massive fan of this flavour. Price and quantity absolutely fair. All cans delivered were undamaged and was delivered on time. Excellent all around.

The taste is decently nice, the apple is slightly tart and enjoyable for the first second or two and then it is followed by a slightly artificial metallic taste, it's not necessarily terrible but considering you can buy similar energy drinks for the same price or cheaper, I will prefer those in the future.

Very nice will buy again

As a casual energy drinker, not so freakish as to drink 2-3 a day or 5 a week like some mention, I've always looked for healthier and lower sugar energy drinks. Carabao may not be the healthiest but their lower sugar content, greater size, flavour and price makes this of exceptional value.The drink taste precisely as you would expect, the regular tangy energy drink taste with an apple aftertaste. I was afraid the low sugar content would mean making this taste like a sparkling water energy drink. However, the drink does well to quench my thirst, I think this taste as good or better than the competitors! Equally important, as was promised, I have not felt a caffeine/sugar crash typical for other drinks! The sugar content is supposedly half while still offering the desired caffeine kick.In all, there is tremendous value in this relatively new energy drink brand. I will happily buy more at this great price.
