I strongly recommend this computer.
It is a really good buy. I managed a full day's work on the battery, the video quality is excellent, the audio quality great. It is fast, light, responsive and looks great. The only slight niggle is that the camera is perfectly adequate for video-calling, but not sufficient quality for Windows Hello. I think that this computer is well worth the money paid.

Excellent for internet
So pleased with this product. Starts quickly and no irritating wait for items to load. Can't say anything about gaming, but good enough for a bit of telly watching

Superb low-to-mid-power laptop
The overall build quality is fantastic for the price range; a pleasingly solid feel, lovely weighting, great keyboard, with nice features like the back-lit keypad and the num-pad built into the touch pad.I wasn't sure if the Intel i3 chip would be enough, but it's been fantastic for my needs. If you're looking for a portable laptop for web browsing, Office applications and general admin use, this is a very good option - no need to spend more on more powerful internals unless you're going to start doing serious graphics work or gaming.

FANTASTIC LAPTOP
After much.... much... searching, opted for this laptop and extremely pleased with my choice. It is exactly what I was looking for, very quick at day to day tasks - Windows basically opens up immediately when you pop the lid open - web browsing, multiple tabs at once, streaming, decent web cam - all done without any issues at all. I have not tried this laptop for gaming, but to be honest if you are after gaming, this is not really the laptop you should be looking for.The build quality is exceptional (looks and feels like a £1,000+ laptop), keyboard nice and good to type on, with great back lighting, and track pad excellent (I particularly love and use often the switchable LED numpad, which is very intuitive and clever, but if you are not bothered about this, then no worries, just use as normal trackpad). The IPS 1080 screen is superb, and crystal clear. The sound is also excellent, particularly for a laptop, with Harmon Kardon speakers on top. Laptop is very light and I especially love the Ergolift hinge to lift the laptop on an angle for easier typing. All in all, I cannot recommend highly enough. Please don't be put off by the i3 Intel Core processor. Note this is 10th Gen version, 2.1ghz, boost to 4.1ghz, which many reviews and tests confirm performs better than 8th gen i5 Intel processor (regardless it doesn't matter, as this processor will be more than enough, especially with 8GB Ram for 95% of people just wanting to surf internet, watch Netflix and prepare Word docs etc.)

Problem with speaker
The laptop would have been perfect for me but the speakers keep having this crackling sound.

Great!... For about 9 months
I love the design, all the little features including the numberpad, the screen is top-notch. HOWEVER, after 9 months use, following an automatically downloaded update it started crashing randomly. Refused to restart or shut-down without crashing & forcing a hard-reset. Then would fail to restart windows after a hard reset (blue screen of death).I sent it back to ASUS for aa repair & 10 days later got the unit back - Great!....for about 2 weeks until another forced update which brought all the issues back. I did everything they suggested (setting a restore point after I got the laptop back, updating all the firmware/Bios blah blah blah) - The end result of which was a black screen, a whirring fan & a £600 paperweight.Luckily Amazon were good enough to offer me a full refund as it was less than 12 months old & clearly not fit for purpose. Although ASUS's service was good, I won't be ordering anything from them anytime soon as I have very little faith in their products now.
