Easy to set up
While there were no installation instructions included, this was easy to set up. We did have a delay in getting some of our devices to work with the router. The speed was showing as adequate, but our smart tv and tablet did not immediately work. We waited a couple of hours and signed in again to the wi-fi and have had no problems since. We have not had any buffering or drops on our streaming since installing new router.

Admin password for router settings
Does anybody know the admin password to this router? All I have is a quick start guide with no information. I've tried Google and every password I've found doesn't work. Upon calling ARRIS I was told that they no longer have support on this model. The guy from India would let me talk to someone else or a supervisor and kept repeating himself. Why is this company selling products with no support? So, how am I suppose to change the router settings if the company who makes it can't tell me? If any one out there knows please leave a comment. Thanks

Fantastic DSL modem/router
I am not a hardware expert but this unit is fantastic. I upgraded to this new Gateway. It’s signal penetrated area of my home the the old device did not. I had it working and all my 11 household devices connected in less than 20 minutes without calls to tech support, that’s a win!

good modem for price
I got this to replace my "free" modems. The line and the free modems are a problem. Bridging and dmz work as expected and is reliable as long as the signal is good. I have a 6.5 db signal downstream which I have to get fixed but amazingly, this modem keeps a good connection for most of the day. I have to power cycle through a smart plug it to get another connection when the signal to noise raitio gets too bad. (I am eventually going to automate that when my home assistant detects the line is down)Im 14600 feet from central office so its really close to the limit of dsl for a 3Mbps connect. One thing I noticed, always use AUTO for everything dsl related. Trying to optimize it and got to ASL2+ does not work. Let the modem figure it out.

Not great and not terrible
Worked ok in the main level of my house but not so much in the basement. As soon as you went outside, it doesn’t reach phones or mobile devices. Inside, tv’s and everything worked pretty good speed wise and it kept up with my fiber internet. I ultimately switched to a NetGear Mesh system which is a little more money but has been stellar since. In a pinch or if you don’t have the extra money, this is good for inside of the house with little expectations of working on different levels. But if you have the extra money, get something better like NetGear or better.

Works with Charter Cable ADSL!
Charter rents their ADSL modems for $180 a year. I purchased this modem for less than half of that. I wanted a modem that has dual radio (2.4 and 5Ghz) that has MIMO (multiple antennas inside) and that was not the limiting factor in speeds experienced. I get the same speeds both directly connected and over 5Ghz WiFi for less than half the cost or renting from Charter. In short, this modem pays for itself in six months. After that is a like a free $15 off my bill each month. My Charter ADSL line is not bonded so having just one green connection light is it normal state. This is great! All the bells and whistles on a vanilla ADSL2+/ATM-LLC BRIDGED connection!

Rock solid performer
I had rented one of these units from Frontier before buying this one. They seem very reliable, and doesn't seem to put off so much heat that it'll have a short life down the road. The config screens are well thought out too.
