We love a sound machine we bought from Brookstone several years ago. As life has it, technology turns over at an alarming rate these days and replacement parts - even something as common as batteries - become unavailable. Our sound machine used a slightly smaller battery with a slightly different plug. But with a little soldering and heat shrink tubing [two wires; one red and one black], this new battery fit perfectly into its designated space. It's a perfect repair for our beloved machine. It's quality of sound for its size plus the types of sounds it creates is our favorite features and we are thrilled to have it working once again [the old battery swelled warping the internal mechanisms]. Sleep is important and with our sound machine we get really high quality sleep. Repairing is always preferable for us over replacing and with this solution we are quite happy. Now, I've got to turn on our machine and go take a nap [yawn]. Don't let the difference in connectors shy you away. With a little ingenuity, you too can repair something. Plus you probably have a friend who could help you out if you cannot do this yourself anyway. Give this a shot. We did and we're glad we did.

For my application I have to replace the plug but the battery is excellent

Ordered for use with some RAK WisBlock Base Boards. After reversing the plug polarity so it matches the board, the batteries do work to power the board, and charge when the board is connected via USB. Unfortunately in spite of them having a BMS, three of the four batteries have swelled dramatically during the first three or four charging cycles. Straight from the box, they measure 9.37mm thick. The first battery is noticeably bulging and measures 10.85mm after being put through a few charge/discharge cycles over the course of a few days. The second one I tried, in the hopes that the first one was just defective, swelled to 9.8mm after just a single day, being charged by the RAK. The third one I've placed on my bench power supply with the CV/CC settings on 4.2v @ 1.0A (0.5C -- half what the Amazon product page says the battery is rated for; the battery itself is not marked with charge capacity information, nor is it printed on the including documentation. After charging this way for only 45 minutes, while still drawing ~500mA @ 4.2v, it has already swelled by 0.1mm. Will not be buying this brand of battery again, and all of these are getting recycled.

Works well. I have a potensic P5 drone. It's an older model. So the batterys are extremely hard to find. But with this purchase, I was able to open the old battery and desolder. The old swollen batterys and replaced them with these. Not it works perfectly and lasts longer. If you don't have experience with soldering ask someone who does. But even with basic knowledge I was able to do it. These batteries are good for lots of other projects too. They are a good value. Just check all the requirements for the product you are working with. And don't just throw a battery on it.

Double check polarity otherwise seem solid and so far up to spec. Worst case scenario de-pin and rearrange to match polarity.

There are two versions of the same battery with two different wirings of the JST connector. Make sure you select the one that matches the female connector you have - or be ready to do some soldering. The picture for this and the other one is accurate. Similarly pre-wired JST kits from Amazon are the same but wired for opposite color polarity. Make sure it all matches up. For reference, notice the picture here. The red wire is above the black, with the JST shown as it is. The other one black is above and the connector is in the same orientation. Otherwise, the batteries are the same.

Included in the package was a "Buy this at our website and its 20% cheaper!". It wasn't. It was $3.99 more expensive.
