Nothing to fault at this price point
It is always easy to compare a £300 pound item to a £2700 item and call out flaws. Compared to an ultra high end Swarovski or Leica there is a small amount of contrast lost and edge sharpness at 60x magnification is a sliver less. However, and it's a significant however, for this price point the unit is epic. Fully weather sealed, lightweight, rapid focus and good quality optics. It is easy to use for classic scope work, digiscoping (with included mount) and evenhas reasonable mounts for SLR's.Having spent 1000's on SLR lenses I could call out some minor differences but they are too few to be significant.Optically the scope holds a true representation of colour, does not suffer greatly from chromatic aberration and is thoroughly recommended.

Superb piece of equipment and excellent customer service
I had never had a spotter scope before, just binoculars and long lens camera, and after going through what seemed like reams of information I had originally bought a cheaper Gosky model because it came with a phone and camera connector but although good it didn't give the level of clarity that I wished for and seemed to be somewhat loose in its connections and focus holding.I queried this with Gosky's customer services and was immediately contacted by Alan who was extremely helpful. It was decided that the model I had received was possibly a faulty one and he very clearly explained the differences between the models as regards my requirements. He explained that my options were either to return the one I had and receive a replacement or my money back or to return it and purchase a different model. I decided to return the first model and to upgrade my purchase to the 20-60x80 Dual Focusing Ed spotting scope. I had mentioned to Alan that although this came with a phone connector it did not have the camera connector and he immediately arranged to send me one free of charge, which arrived within ten days.I thought that the customer service was excellent at that stage and it was matched by the quality of the scope when I received it. Superb clarity and focusing is so easy with the Dual facility and yes it doe's give clear crisp images even in low light conditions. As described in the write ups the variable zoom magnification allows you view a wide field at lower power and then zoom in on details at higher power without losing focus. Even at dusk and early evening I was clearly able see wild birds over very long distances and I was blown away by the ability to clearly see Mars and Venus and get close ups of the Moon. The finish on the scope is excellent with a hard wearing shock-proof easy grip coating and antifog on the lenses. The scope is every bit as good as advertised and I would not hesitate to recommend both it and Gosky's customer service.

Real good quality for a mid-range scope. feels good, looks good easy to use
If your just starting out and want a good already for scenery, moon and bird watching you will not be disappointed with this. Does the lot. If you get yourself a good phone with great camera features you can take excellent pics too.

A brilliant piece of kit and excellent customer support
I did a fair amount of research on various manufacturers before I decide to purchase a Gosky Spotting Scope. I bought this scope about a month ago and it has exceeded my expectations. First it is very light, in fact I was suspicious of its quality because, in my experience of optics, light weight often means poor. Not so in this case. The image, whether of birds, distant insects or planets (Saturn was spectacular), are clear and bright. The dual focus control is in my opinion a must for fine adjustment, particularly when looking at the heavens. The zoom control is a little tight on my example but it is easing off with use. I cannot detect any image distortion, notably absent is chromatic aberration, something I was expecting to see. If in doubt and you can afford it go for the ED version! The package is completed by a light carry case and a digiscope adaptor. I confess to not trying the latter as I wanted to use my DSLR for this purpose. However, I couldn't find an adaptor to fit. I emailed Gosky, asking if they could help, not really expecting a reply. Again I was wrong & the company have offered a free adaptor for my cameras. Thank you Alan.Would I buy this instrument again-yes!

Good scope but bag not great, lens covers easy to lose
I have measured the scope:* body length 45 cm* close focus distance 9 m* bag weighs 350 g - not great if you plan on carrying the scope on a trip* mobile phone adapter 100 gAlso the lens covers are not attached to the body, which means you might lose them soon.I really liked the dual-speed focus, it's smooth and easy to use.And the mobile phone adapter is great. Easy to use and lightweight. But overall, preferred the Vortex Diamondback - even with the 65 diameter, it seems to provide as much light as this 80 mm scope. And has a stay-on cover (115 g), the helics focus feels very solid, and the lens covers are attached to the body.

Good quality scope
Very pleased with the quality of this scope, easy to use, not too heavy, nice clear and crisp optics, you will need a good tripod for long range use, I can read a number plate easy at 1000 metres with the tripod I bought also you can increase the magnification further if you use the phone adapter and use your phones magnification.

Ver good value
I am very pleased with the scope, bought mainly for bird watching it has brought immense joy being able to get such close, bright images. Once you have got used to the position of the dual focussing dials they work very well. With a nice carry case and the digiscope attachment, overall this model is extremely good value without paying a fortune.
