Just received this replacement remote for our Sony Blu Ray player BDP-S3700. I installed 2 new batteries and it works perfectly! So happy as our original remote got lost during our move. We can’t use the tv volume buttons on this remote, as we have a newer smart tv…but that’s fine, I can always use the tv remote for that.

I've used the original for a lot of years. Then one day, it quit working! I couldn't understand it! The batteries were as fresh as they could be, but still, nothing! Anyway, I tried this strange method I found on the internet, hoping it would work. I took the batteries out, pressed all the buttons on the remote twice, put the batteries back in the remote, pressed the power button, and again, nothing! Why did I go with that bizarre method? LOL! Anyway, I finally ordered a replacement remote for a very cheap price. Works perfectly! Thanks Amazon for getting me out this situation!

I was surprised this remote worked perfectly with our old Sony DVD/Blu-Ray player that’s at least 20 years old. We had lost the original remote and this replacement brought it back to life instantly. The layout is simple, the buttons are responsive, and it didn’t require any setup—just popped in batteries and it worked right away. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it feels a little lighter and less sturdy than the original remote, but for the price and the fact that it works flawlessly on such an old device, I’m impressed.

This remote was a fantastic find! Dug out my DVD player because I own lots of movies that can’t be watched without rental fees when streaming - especially holiday classics. I’d lost the remote but managed to watch one video by pressing the play button on the machine. After that, not a single disc worked! I’d put them in, wait until it reached the “play” field, and the play button did not work. I tried several, and a little green box popped up with “BR-ROM” & an arrow. Got online, found this remote, and ordered it Thanksgiving night. Got it already today (Sunday) and it works perfectly! Added AAA batteries & it was fully functional. NOTE: when you want to play the dvd, press the center button up near the top (see pic), not the play arrow. You probably know this but I was dismayed for a minute, thinking I hadn’t solved my problem, until I figured it out. Cheap, too! I’ll be happily watching Home Alone tonight 😊

Replacement remote. My kids destroyed the old one using it as a football. Compatible with Sony DVD. Quality remote as long as its used for its intended uses. Easy to use. Buttons easy to read.
