Windows 10 For Dummies, 4th Edition

I HAVE NOT LOOKED AT IT PROPERLY IN DEPTH. IT'S WRITTEN QUITE WELL I THINK BUT I FEEL IT'S PROABLY A BIT BEYOND ME. I PERSONLY LKE THE OTHER BOOKS FOR SRNIORS AS IT HAS MORE ILLUSTRATIONS AND THEY ARE IN COLOUR AND ALSO LOTS OF ADDITIONAL TIPS AND I THINK THEY ARE MUCH BETTER. GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY THOUGH AND WITH A DECENT SIZE PRINT FOR THOSE WITH AILING EYESITE.

Useful book for us who need help with windows 10.

I should have bought this years ago however, more recently I had an issue with my computer and needed to find out how to resolve the problem, hence buying this book. Simply perfect, easily explained instructions and, hey presto, my problem was solved. Great. Would definitely recommend if, like me, you intend 'hanging on' to Windows 10.

A pity it lacks any colour illustrations,

To use Office Word and saving documents, printing and scanning photos. Very different to Windows 7 and a step backwards in my opinion as regards ease of use but book certainly helps.

As a Windows 10 user, who hasn't been on a users course/training, I found this guide really useful with tips and shortcuts as well as information you wouldn't find out on your own. It is easy to read and follow, with cross-referencing between sections etc which makes it easy to grasp the principles for users to follow in order to master Windows 10. Both a useful guide and ready reference book, I highly recommend this edition.

Very detailed, but not very user friendly.

Definitely a useful reference book with a lot of valuable information in an easily digested and complete format. Author Andy Rathbone is definitely worth the price of this book as a vital help to understanding and using Windows 10. Good price, bought used but was like new, fast ship ... I find this book very interesting; I'm reading it in its entirety, not as a dictionary. I've been familiar with Windows for many years. This book is a fantastic review, even educational.

Come in altre situazioni, per avere un testo aggiornato a pochi mesi prima bisogna necessariamente rivolgersi all'edizione originale; in ogni caso l'inglese del libro è alla portata di chiunque abbia un livello di conoscenza della lingua anche solo scolastico e bazzichi almeno un pò il mondo informatico. Contrariamente alle abitudini di molti, io preferisco leggere questo genere di manuali una prima volta in modo sequenziale e completo per poi eventualmente riprendere alcuni capitoli da rivedere con più calma. In quest'ottica ho trovato il libro ben strutturato, con una sequenza degli argomenti logica e coerente alle modalità con cui ci si avvicina a un sistema nuovo.
