Great affordable standing desk option
Great affordable standing desk option. This is a a great desk and it fits well and a fold out table That i had been using as a desk. I used to have a standing desk i made myself but got rid of it because I have been moving lately. The unit sets up extremely fast. if you dump everything out and rip that packaging off you could probably set the thing up in 15 seconds. It seems flimsy at first but once you get all the boards and the support bar locked in its surprisingly sturdy. The edges were a little rough like some others have mentioned but not bad at all. lots of space for notes or paper or mouse/pad, keyboard, etc. The slot to hold the wires was also convenient and useful. The desk for me was a little low. I am using both the highest settings. I am about 6 foot. Ideally I would like the monitor to be higher but its easy to stand with a wide stance to solve the issue. Also a monitor stand or laptop stand works well. I use a macbook pro with a stand currently and it works great. my wife loves it too. Lots of space under the desk as well to organize wires or put shelves, etc or whatever you need. If you are on the edge about buying it I would say just try it out, its great, and they have a money back guarantee so if you hate it they will give you your money back and you can return it. Your neck and your back will thank you. Ever sense i started using a standing desk my productivity has been through the roof. Give it a try!

Good Product, a Few Issues To Note
The Well Desk standing desk works very well, though I have a few constructive criticisms..hence the four out of five stars. The Good Stuff: It is solidly built, reasonably space efficient (footprint isn't huge), easy to set up. The hinged main frame structure is solid and easy to unfold and adjust. Just take some care to open the leaves to the correct angles for proper fit of the shelves in their respective slots. The shelves slide snuggly into their respective slots and do not move with regular use. The monitor shelf easily holds a heavier all-in-one computer (my 21-inch iMac is pictured, with some accessories). There is no bowing of the top shelf under this load. There is plenty of room on the keyboard shelf for a standard keyboard, a mouse and perhaps another gadget (my headphones pictured). The optical mouse works well directly on the wood surface.Criticisms: The Well Desk is fairly tall. I am 5' 10" tall. My Well Desk is shown atop a 29.5-inch high desk. The monitor shelf is at the lowest position. This is a perfect height for me, probably too high for shorter folks (Maybe folks less than 5' 6" or so?). To be fair, one contributing factor to the overall monitor height in my case is the bottom edge of the iMac sits 3 inches above the monitor shelf. A standard monitor may sit closer to the shelf, thus reducing the height a bit. Also, as other reviewers have noted, a very wide monitor would only fit with the monitor shelf on the highest position.I would encourage Well Desk to redesign the folding frame to have one more lower monitor shelf position for shorter people. In the end, if you can afford the $400ish price tag, one of the Varidesk options ( Height-Adjustable Standing Desk - VARIDESK Pro Plus 36 - Black ) is going to be more functional in terms of height adjustments and equipment accommodation (I have one of these at work). At this price point, however, the Well Desk is a good choice (giving due consideration to the points above).Side Note: My sympathy to those of you (us) with back or other physical issues. These standing work stations are a real life saver!

I loved the look of this desk and it was easily assembled. The lower shelf fit my standard keyboard and Wacom which was the main reason I bought this! The only issue is the spacing is not ideal. I am petite- so at 5 feet tall this desk is not great for someone of not average height. Bummer

Nice design, but inadequate quality control.
I was very pleased by how easy the Well desk is to assemble. It functions quite well, and the multiple levels make it easy to find a comfortable standing position. The only functional negatives I found is that it slides around on smooth-topped desks, so rubber feet or pads would help, and that the leading edges of the wood panels aren't all that smooth. That only matters on the keyboard shelf, since your hands touch that all the time. where it really falls short is in overall quality control. This desk is fairly expensive for some plywood, and you'd expect it to get careful scrutiny before being sent out, but the one I received had a badly mismatched panel holding the screws on the left side (see photo), as well as some little dents in several places. Nothing that detracts from function, but annoying on an expensive product that touts its American workmanship. I wrote the company and sent them the photo and they initially seemed to be willing to replace it, but then followed up asking for more photos. Well, I'm not your QC department and don't have time to take multiple photos for you, I actually have a job to do. I'm not yet sure if I'll send it back or just live with the minor defects. It works, but it's disappointing at the price.
