Honeywell FC100A1037 20"x4"x25" Merv 11 Filter Media, Pack of 5

These are the exact OEM filter for my Honeywell air handler. They last for months and always fit perfectly into that filter space with the tight tolerances which can be a problem for aftermarket non-Honeywell (cheaper) replacements despite their being marketed as exact replacements. A difference of an 1/8-inch or maybe even a 1/16-inch in any dimension can make installing or removing the filter a headache. The price for these on Amazon (especially if you buy 4 or 5 at a time) is not much more than non-OEM and, considering that they last months up to even a year I consider them to be reasonably-priced and they are always high-quality. Something to also keep in mind is that they are rated MERV 11 which is a measure of the level of filtration (particle size) they provide. You will see the same size offered in MERV 12 and even 13 and be tempted to use those thinking that greater filtration would be desirable but the denser filter material can restrict airflow and end up stressing the blower motor, possibly causing it to burn out and require a very expensive motor replacement to be necessary. Stick with OEM and MERV 11.

I opt for the 4" filters instead of the 1" because they last longer and fit my furnace better. I previously used an electronic air filter but got tired of the cleaning process. These seem to last about 3-4 months before replacement and they're at a relatively reasonable price.

I searched a bunch online for the best price for these filters and this was the best deal I could find. The filters do their job well, much better than bargain filters. My owner's manual says filters are to be replace every 6 months, but they're pretty dirty when I replace them. One might consider replacing these 3 times a year instead of 2. I've purchased these multiple times and would recommend them.

Although product appears to be getting smaller, still fits, and works as intended.

I buy a bundle every few years, and this is the best price I've found. significantly better than buying one off at the big box DYI stores. It's the exact OEM filter that was in the furnace when we bought it.
