The instructions are pretty elementary for what seeds you get with the kit. You get fluid to increase or decrease acidity (every plant needs a certain range of ph to work in). You also get some nutrients e.g., food for the plants.The problem is the first stage (getting them sprouted) is in total darkness, but only if the flimsy plastic tray doesn't have any cracks near the top that let light in, lets water in when in the base, and wasn't flat to begin with so not good for stage 1.Then stage 2 is putting them in the normal black trays which is easy, but they daily keeping up with ph and nutrients and updating lights and how often to circulate water (or what speed) is somewhat consuming.Then, if the materials aren't of good quality, you get issues with the trays seating into the hard plastic, which causes trays to not angled slightly to carry the water in the needed direction.You get the idea but it's worse if you want to plant your own. No guidebook came with this for if you want snap peas or other seeds you can get reputably and want to use in hydroponicks. So do your own reasearch.

Absolutely the worst product ever. I returned it within the 30 days and they charged me 15% restocking fee. I will ask Amazon for this and I hope I Opcom never sells a thing again. Be warned! It’s a scam, bait and switch and terrible terrible products and service . I wish I never heard of them. They wasted days of my life! They sent me an upgraded system but didn’t tell any representatives in the USA this so when I tried to figure out how to use it without instructions, they argued with me for weeks! Now I sent it back and I still can’t get my full refund!

Do not buy this product. I have been in contact over 3 months, have had 4 units in my possession all unusable. Despite it's nice appearance, the lights and motor arecompletely unreliable.

I have owned this for 5 months and it has been unuseable. Motor that moves lights up and down does not function. After 6 weeks of emails with customer service, they sent a new wiring harness and control box. Did not fix it. Said they would send a replacement unit, but they did not. The customer service email address keeps changing and every time I contact them, I have to start all over. Very frustrating. Disassembling the unit and recycling the aluminum. Can't recommend.
